Steven Gerrard is King Midas is reverse - everything he touches turns to shit. It's like playing with ten men.

He's been shit mate. His body is in rest mode and I don't reckon it'll be up for it when the tournament starts.
Nice goal from Cahill though. I do like him as a player.
Thank fuck for that, Wiggy's been shit.

I really don't see the point of him. If everything Gerrard hits further than twenty yards balloons off target, then that leaves nothing in his locker, especially when he waltzes around doing absolutely zero the rest of the time, dinking five yard passes here and there to the person right next to him.
As soon as he goes off England get two more goals. It probably helped on that occasion to have the equally useless Rooney off the pitch and out of everyone's way.

When Shrek and Stevie were subbed straight away Tyldesley said so and so has gone to the Rooney role and so and so has hone to the Gerrard role. WTF. Neither has a given right to a place in the team. Neither would get in mine if I was England manager. Sums up why we flatter to deceive.

The Gerrard role and the Rooney role results in England going home in June. For all they contribute, you might as well have two men on stilts or unicycles parading around instead.

The fact that Adrian Chiles says that he'll give Gerard a round of applause for walking off the pitch, to rap him up in cotton, probably says it all.

That ranks with back in the 90s when a mate of mine threw an empty beer can at a State of Origin rugby league game and hit a policeman in the back of the head.
Oh how we laughed when he turned around to look at 15,000 people to try and work out who did it.
