So, what signing would be your dream signing within the constraints of reality?
To me it would be Alexis Sanchez.
Still can't believe we missed him a few years ago and think he would bring something new to our team that woud take us to another level. And he is a realistic target money wise and because Barcelona is rumored to want to get rid.
What is your realistic dream signing?
*edit*
Sorry, being drunk made me not be clear in the original post. Dream (realistic) means if you could pick one player from the ones that we could realisticly sign who would it be?

Sanchez, Really?
Decent player but not for me. He wouldn't even be in my top ten. Even if he was cheap. But I'll think about my first pick for a while

You probably want to add "discounting Messi and Ronaldo" ... otherwise can't see beyond those two ... and then after that it'd probably be Bale.

The title says 'realistic'. Do you think There's any chance Real would sell Bale after just one season? Yep.

Just read the headline question again ... The word 'Realistic' probably discounts those three automatically but then you also ask for 'dream' ... realistic and dream don't go together!

My dream realistic signing would be someone the scum wanted but we hijacked the deal and kept the player hostage until the selling club caved in and agreed not to report us to the FA afterwards. I know, completely dreamlike scenario

Said that in the CL Final thread ... any chance we can get our hands on Thibaut Courtois? Would even gift wrap Hart if Chelsea want ...

For me it is Sanchez. I Honestly think he is the single player that would ad the most to our team. Second is Fabregas.

I like Sanchez too but he is injury prone. Bale if we could, he's a match winner.

Does anyone honestly believe a new GK would be the biggest boost to our team?
We have a more than decent GK. He is british. He has made more than enough game saving saves.
Surely there are other positions that require more power.
Like silva... if we get Isco would'nt the loss of Silva to injury be softer?
If we got Sanchez, would'nt that bring another element to our game?

It's mental that I have to think very hard to find a player that would fit in and improve us. A few years ago the list would be endless. These days I don't think there are that many players outside of ronaldo and messi that would have a big impact on our current side.
I wouldn't mind matic, I rate him. Fabregas maybe.
Wouldn't really be a dream but Luke shaw would improve us.

sanchez felt he was doing us a favour by even considering signing for us. we are past that stage now.
