Does this mean that are only permitted to name 13 'foreign' players in our Champions League squad?

Well if it does:
Zabaleta
Kolarov
Kompany
Nastasic
Demichelis
Yaya
Fernandinho
Garcia
Navas
Nasri
Silva
Aguero
Dzeko
Jovetic
That's 14, not a big miss to lose one of those is it?
Sagna I think counts as home grown, as does clichy.
Problem comes with Fernando and Mangela if we sign them, although I reckon if we do, Nastasic might go.

Sagna doesn't count as homegrown but Nasty qualifies for the B list next season.

Uless someone has seen a recent definitive statement from the club or OAFA ?
We can't trust the media to have it right unless the quote a source.

LOL, Ted. What the fuck do you think UEFA are doing to us today? 8 'homegrowns' is what will be expected.

I'll believe that when I see it.
Why should non UK players be punished ahead of locals ? It's not their fault City have broken the rules, what right do UEFA have to make Jovetic miss out on the Champions League as opposed to Milner or Rodwell ?
One thing to reduce the squad size, another to force certain players to be punished.

I've just had a look around, & it seems to be the case that if in normal circumstances you can only field 21 players, only a total of 4 have to be either club trained or 'home league' trained, as opposed to 4 in each catagory if you have a full squad of 25.
IF, we have that right, then, as suggested on the OS, UEFA's sanctions will basically make no fucking difference whatsoever.
Result.

That means only 2 "free spots" (and that's not including Micah and Rodwell) which are probably both defenders. But i don't know about the young player rule thing.

Is this B list not included in the 21, do you know?

I'm pretty sure he can be counted after spending 7 years in the UK, he is counted as home grown via a sort of naturalisation process. Dunno the technicalities behind it, but all the papers seem to say he is counted as homegrown too
