Mancini wins the league 3 years in a row and we are debating whether or not he's any use before hes even sat in the dugout.

He might have one 3 titles but it was at the time of all the match fixing. The first title was given to for finishing 3rd & the other two came when Juventus weren't even in the division & AC Milan were given a points deduction..... WOW! What an achievement!

Absolutely wrong. Juventus were in the league in the fourth season, and in the third season he got the most points of all time by anyone in the top leagues. 97 points. You could give all the other teams their robbed points back and Inter would still have won by a mile. Read my earlier post and stop spreading bullshit you've heard from the butchers or some shit.

Just wanted to correct you on this, Roma wasn't involved in it, it was AC, Juventus, Lazio and Fiorentina. This said, I agree with the rest of your post. ;)

Time will tell, as always.

Inter were a team that had been punching way below their weight for ages. They had cash but kept changing managers and buying players who didn't do that well. They were very much seen as perennial underachievers with a good history but completely overshadowed by more successful neighbours while still being a big club.

In his first season he won a trophy and (belatedly) won the title. Early in his 2nd season they went on a record run of 17 consecutive victories. He was sacked after 3 league titles in a row for failing to do better in the CL in the hope that Mourinho would do better. He hasn't.

He really has a very good record. You can say it was boosted by the Calciopoli punishments but at the same time you can argue that Inter had been robbed in the first place by the match fixing. I'm hopeful.

Mancini will get Micah playing again. He will be able to manage Robinho. He'll be able to bring in Chiellini and get him to stay , (not fly home after 6 months because he can't find tortellini like Mama makes.) He MAY be able to get the best out of Adebayor. He WON'T keep picking players who aren't doing their job , who aren't committed to winning ; he'll dump them without hesitation.

When the decision to give Hughes the flick was taken (after the SPURS debacle), we were eighth, TWO places better than where we finished last season, for Stg200M spent. Sorry Hughes - not good enough.

I really don't understand how people can confirm that yes Mancini will do the job for us.

No-one knows, sure it is fair to point out he has every chance of doing so but nothing is for certain.

I think people are just putting their colours to the mast now so they can say "told you I was right, I know so much about football".

No-one knows so stop acting like you do.

It's fair to talk about his chances, as you can base it on his past and it can give an indication as to how he might do, nothing more.

Well I for one don't give a monkey's what a person's past is , I am only interested in his future. As with the majority on here I have no idea if Mancini is the right man from here or not I just hope he is.

I think he has every chance as he is inheriting a very good well motivated squad ( bar maybe 1 or 2 players) and a team in a decent position in the league and a great position in the CC.

Not wrong just a different opinion to yours. And what you cited for point one is a club's reasoning for employing somebody.I refer to the situation we have once he is employed.His past becomes irrelevant. A bit like Sven really.

I still think on point 2 the squad will be motivated as they are still in a challenging position for a top 4 position and a great chance to win the CC. They do want to do well you know! I don't happen to believe the paper crap talk about demotivated players but you can if you want. A bit angry some of them maybe but that will wash away and they will get on with it.Even if they do lack a touch of motivation on day one I am sure Mancini camn sort that out.

So long as he proves that he doesn't have favourites, I think he can nip any resentment in the bud. Most of it will probably be toward Kiddo anyway for his role in the changeover but hopefully it'll blow over, like you say. He has a fantastic squad & maybe just needs one or two defenders to complete it. A quick burst of 'new manager syndrome' would be very welcome to get him off to a flyer.
