Do we now want Chelsea to win today so that they will take the Liverpool game seriously?

Exactly. And if Jose feels they are not really fighting for the title he will rest players there and we need Chelsea to get a result at Anfield i think

Even if he can't win Maureen will want to finish second.

I think Chelsea will get a result at anfield. If we turned up first half we would have the three points now, they only won due to a bad mistake. Liverpool are a very lucky team lucky in a lot of their games recently and if Chelsea turn up on the day they will get something. It's not over yet.

Grasping at straws I know but Ba has been scoring lately, coming into a bit of form at a good time for us maybe.

Its odd that I find myself rooting for Chelsea in this game now, after what happened today. I'm not even sure why, but since we need to win every game probably now anyway, I'm more than happy for Chelsea to go and win all of theirs too!

Actually I didn't realise until now how straight forward Chelsea's other fixtures were -- the 3 teams most likely to get relegated! (Sunderland, Norwich, Cardiff)
That pretty much means we need to win every game. If Chelsea beat Liverpool they will probably finish on 87 points, and if Liverpool don't lose that game they should get enough points in their fixtures to finish on around the same number. That means we need 88, which can only be achieved by winning every remaining game.
If we had won today I think we would have won the league. After such a close game it now looks so very very far away. Its hard to take.

Not as far away as it did when we won it.

Anyone see what happened to Diego Costa today? Sounds like he could be done for the season which will be crushing for their league hopes

First half finishes 1-1, the arse passing it about quite a bit and getting a lot of the game their own way.

The annual Arsenal push for the 4th place trophy is on!
Looki g at the fixtures left theyll win all 4 so Everton will need 4 wins and a draw to to ensure qualification. I hope they get it.
If Arse fail to get in, thats two perennial pot 1 seeds tuefed from the CL draw moving us up the chain well in to pot 2.

And which one of that result (win/draw) you wish they get against us?
If Arse loses a few of theirs and Everton gets thru (even after losing to us) then fine, but we need to win all ours now and that included Everton ... that'll fuck them up for that 4th should we do the job!

Tbh I dont expect us to beat Palace away, nor do I think Liverpool will drop pts anywhere either so its a moot point.
A draw at Everton would be far more than weve got there the past 3 seasons.

Lee, you posted a very similar post a couple of months back.
Time to believe.
