We will also see first hand how good Mancini's English is.
Will be glued to SSN from 4:30 and i'm sure it will be an hour late as usual.

add Book a couple more times as caretaker...and now Mancini.
All of them, City managers while I have supported City...only 2 of them did us any good.
All of them arrived with the same high hopes and promises, some arrived with big reputations, the vast majority wandered into the sunset labelled as failures.
Forgive me if I have no great hopes for Mancini...he will have his highs and lows but we can rest assured that as soon as the lows arrive, he will be shoved out of the door the same as all the others. As soon as he hits a problem, he will not be allowed to surmount it, he will attacked by the fans.
It's the City way, to panic and offload. Oh how I wish the rags had done the same some years ago. Sadly the bastards allowed their manager to ride the lows (there were plenty of them and they lasted for a long time) learn and hone his trade and the rest is their history and our tragedy.
Mancini will be no different, he will say all the right things, scripted by the marketting boys at Easlands and designed to placate the fans. Eventually he will fuck off or be fucked off just like all the others.
PRESS CONFERENCE BOLLOX!!!
dikdik wrote:Well I've just watched the press conference.
Very impressed with Mancini the man. (manager comes later.)
He listened to questions in English with the help of a translator and replied in English.
He has obvious charm and seems to have a good sense of humour.
As Cook was not taking questions he had to field them and initially the questions were quite hostile. He dealt with them all with respect and equanimity and certainly won me over in the charm stakes.
The field of play will be another matter entirely.
