Thank you Mark Hughes for some of the best 'total football' I have seen a City team play for many years
Thank you for your passion, integrity and honest endevour whilst the manager of Manchester City

It didnt all go to plan, but life never does, its unfortunate that our club's owners and upper management have shown what a lying sack of shit they really are, but those assholes just give us the money because they potentially wish to bask in a glory that will never be theirs because they never were and never will be true City fans. I almost pity the wankers because they certainly arent in it for the money.

I, as a supporter of Man City love my club and now I am faced with SUPPORTING yet another new manager and this I will do honourably and hope that he may make us a solid, honest, hard working team that wins silverware and allows us finally to hold our heads high and not be shamed by the antics of wankers. (something that has been hand in hand with being one of the City faithful).

Nice to see people being so gracious to the people who have made us a big club again. Astonishing that people are more loyal to a limited manager who has never won anything than to the owners that make all our dreams possible...

shame you didnt show the same loyalty to those SAME PEOPLE that showed faith in hughes over the last 18 months, fucking hypocritical... but why am I not surprised.

please show me an example of where I called the owners a sack of shit or abused them in any way?

you are calling out troutman for being loyal to hughes and not to our owners, yet you have berated hughes for 18 months when our owners had backed him....! FFS its not difficult rain man

I didnt know anyone had used it before, however, I am glad I did as I see it as a result as you not responding to me kind of makes hughes sacking more digestable.

Why post something like about time you fucked off in a thread to thank him for his efforts? Some people really ought to appreciate that they may not have anything worthwhile to contribute to a certain subject instead of feeling compelled to see their name in every topic.

I guess thats why my post count is so low too!!!!

Thanks Mark and good luck in the future. Have to admit I was dead set against your appointment but you've worked hard and done your best for City and the fans. I believe that you should have been given more time and that the termination of your contract was dealt with in a very poor manner. Hope you achieve great success in the future.

ridiculous comments. obv I do not approve such comments and there was no need for you to even suggest i did. although if you want to be pedantic I think you will find that before any of this was said we had comments such as "fuck off" from others. I do not approve either. Just a shame this thread couldnt have been a positive one about Mark but that would be just asking a bit to much of some people

Thanks Les and good luck in the future (except when playing against us). I love watching our entertaining and attacking style. I hope it stays with us for a long time.

In respect of how the sacking was handled by the owners I am as disappointed as anybody else is but I think that what we see here is the ruthlessness of the sheik and probably that is what is required to raise City onto the next level. You might have got us there eventually but now we have all this money few supporters and obviously the owners dont have the patience to wait.

I doubt he is reading this as he is probably sat in his evil lair counting his ill gotten means but ahh well here it goes.
Thank you Mark for turning our club into a much more professional outfit and giving us 100% of your heart and honesty. You did all you could for the fans and team and did your best for the club all the time.
You gave the fans some great attacking football and some amazing games, its shame some of your players let you down.
I hope you get a good club as you deserve that oh and please send a weakened team to us in the future as no doubt your boys will wipe the floor with us.

What I find wierd about this thread is that people who are partof the ManCityFans Community choose to antagonise those who want to say ThankYou to one of our managers?

Are we that devoid of respectfulness?

Thanks for the effort Mark and for some of the absolutely most cracking matches in the league this season. Some memories we won't forget...an exciting run in Europe and for ensuring that our new owners understood the importance of building world-class infrastructure from which to launch our footballing ambition.

Hats off to you Mark. Good luck!

Ah Les. I still believe you would've been sucessfull.

You would still be here if it were not for ignoring the likes of Cahill, Shawcross and Hangeland and buying Joleon Lescott for 24 million quid.

I wish they hadnt done this. Took Baconchops 3-4 years to win anything at smelly Salford.

I was never a Hughes 'fan' so to speak, but in my nearly 20 years now of being a blue, the Schalke trip and that 'we've arrived' performance against Portsmouth last September are up there with my favourite and happiest memories. I don't honestly believe you were cut out for success at the very highest level, but in 18 months at City your player acquisitions, dealings with the press and (sometimes) attack-minded football were a credit to you. You have overseen the beginning of a blue revolution and riled Taggart up like I've not seen in years. Come back for a brew sometime Les.

Exactly - says a lot about the character of people that they need to gloat and their outright shallowness that they have to come on a 'thank you to our manager thread' to put the boot in more

At least Soc does not resort to the base approach of Edge who has just again demonstrated 'how low he can go' - but we all knew that

Anyway - back to Topic - MH - if you ignore the posts from a couple - you will see that a number of CITY fans wish you well and respect you - hope you understand that we have to move on and get behind the new man

Think you are wrong on this topic Soc - easy to pick that one out - but at least it was a message from a poster to Hughes on a farewell thread - so whilst I am a 1000% behind our owners, I can relate to someone being at this point upset.....

It is the other posts like Edge's half way down the 1st page : I'm glad you've fucked off. You were never good enough.

That shows what lowlifes some CITY fans are - and whilst I agree with you on a number of things - particularly the Platini issues - I do not think that the Farewell thread is the place for you to come on repeating and regurgitating the same old Hughes arguments - thought better of you - surely this is a thread where if you cannot find it in yourself to say something respectful - just stay out of it?
