There never seemed to be a gray area where he was concerned, you were either with him (happy-clapper) or against him (hughes-hater) and the 2 camps were at each others throats from the start.
Of course we will always disagree on certain topics regarding our beloved club but I hope to never again witness the polarization caused by hughes' appointment.
Now can we all please learn to live with the fact that hughes has gone, get behind Mancini and work towards one common theme.
Thank you and Merry Christmas :o)
Well in the spirit of the intent behind this.....
Yes lets all get behind the new manager and push forward - there is nothing else CITY fans should do.
But I would pick you up on the '2 sides' argument which I think is largely wrong.
You clearly had the Hughes haters and they were often extreme - there will have been some out and out pro-Hughes people as well
But I am sure that there were a lot like me who were not particularly pro-Hughes - just pro-CITY and therefore willing to back our manager - which is what you are saying should happen now - perhaps the argument has been valid for the last 18 months
It has been (IMO) the anti-Hughes group's need to see things in such a polarized way that they just had to label everyone not of their persuasion as lickers or something similar...
Well I agree with you - decision has been made - lets all get behind the club and by extension the manager, but it is possible that if things to not go swimmingly it will be the long term CITY fans that will stay behind all aspects of the club and some of the people who have been so recently negative that will start to cause dissent - lets just hope we never have to find out
