Wouldn't surprise me if a number of scum fans do that regularly, accept that they'll miss some games in the hope that they're against 'lesser teams' as they'll consider them, but then moan when it happens to fall on a Derby!

What it looks like is that the Rag fans are not paying up as early as before, basically seeing if they can get away with not paying as they're not turning up and having to sell their seat.

That would be very bad news. If they have got money to spend, our Davey is the man to blow it.

Not even Arsenal, a club that constantly shows contempt for its fans (quite rightly), would come up with this kind of shit.

I suppose that when you're charging your ST holders a minimum of 1200 dodgers per season then you can give them a little bit back.

Includes cup games upto quarter finals though doesn't it.....which is usually a decent number of additional games

If i recall correctly its a certain number of cup games, there was some major moaning going on because they classed the Liverpool FA cup game as a lower category than the CL vs Bayern game and although they knew about the CL game first the club classed the FA cup game as the last of the quota and charging for the CL game which was about £30 more than an FA cup game vs Pool.

Or something like that!

Anyone seen the exchange between Oliver Holt and Joey Barton on Twitter ...

Oliver Holt first tweets something like United captain should be standing in for the interview right after that loss instead of pushing Carrick out to the journos but then he's on his bike ...

Joey Barton replies to him and says he's heard that Vidic is even changing in separately in a different room and not with all in the team dressing room as he wants nothing to do with the group and is pissed with the club due to his contract situ and how it was handled.

Holt then replies saying sure he's heard it too and there are certainly fractures appearing within the 'team' ...

Arsenal season tickets include the first seven home cup games, so you are signing up for 26 games and paying it all upfront.
That's why they're so fecking expensive, and don't need a petty rule like the scum have

I think Arsenal fans would be happier to go out of the domestic cups first match and have their season ticket pay for up to the QF of the champions league.

Too many people acting like sheep and retweeting stuff that's a load of shit. It doesn't mean anything, except that there are a load of sheep getting giddy about something, and spreading it without even considering the truth. Happens all the time with Facebook, all the millions of dicks who like and share to get a free ipad surely knowing full well there is no such offer, but doing it anyway and thus giving free marketing to apple, BMW etc exactly as those companies planned in the first place. The wording of this really doesn't look like a corporate communication.......aside from that, like I said above, my understanding is that you automatically purchase the ticket on a certain date, but have time before that date to opt out......there is no mandatory purchase any more.

This is the truth as told by a ST holder sat next to me at work:

When you buy a season ticket at Utd, you have to also buy tickets for home FA and European Cup matches.

The system works the same as our cup scheme does: they take the money from you, automatically, weeks before the tie and there is no opt out for individual games.

The suspension from home league games happens when the club is unable to take the money from you (eg when the card you paid on originally has been cancelled) and you do not make a separate payment.

The SMS we have all seen is a reminder to fans for whom the club have not yet been able to collect payment.
