FUCK KNOWS WHAT WILL HAPPEN FROM NOW TILL THE END OF THE SEASON - THE PLAYERS WILL BE ON A RIGHT DOWNER NOW FOR VARIOUS REASONS AND MANCINI WILL HAVE TO PERFORM REALLY WELL TO GET THE BEST OUT OF THEM.

TIME WILL TELL WETHER OR NOT MANCINI IS THE MAN TO TAKE US FORWARD BUT I DONT THINK ANYONE CAN ARGUE AGAINST HUGHES BEING SACKED.....MAYBE THE WAY IT WAS DONE IS FOR DEBATE BUT NOT HIS ACTUAL SACKING.

ANYWAY THE OP IS ABOUT THE DIVIDE BETWEEN FANS AND THE HIGHES APPOINTMENT MADE THAT DIVIDE HAPPEN..THATS A FACT.

FUCKING BULLSHIT

You want a new bedding in period for our new manager that does NOT have to look all over the world for superstars, as our previous manager had already purchased many. OUR NEW MANAGER has an amazing squad to start with, YET YOU WANT TIME!

DO ME A FAVOUR

spot on, mancini is inheriting a good squad who have been settling in for a few months, the structure of the club is alot more professional than a year ago and the facilities are world class.

from day 1 i hope mancini gets the team playing and there better be no excuses about how he is trying to adapt to the english game or how he wants to sign his own players

Fucl me. I must be the only person I know who can start a discussion about fans getting along with each other, only for it to turn into an argument and to be accused of being smug!

There is that short space of time to get over what has happened today for some .Partly because they believe it was plain wrong but also massively the way it was handled. That aside after a day or so and before the next game I have no doubt we will all be 100% behind the team/club and manager.

I do think it is a mistake but we will never know. If Mancini brings success that's fantastic and only to be expected as I think it was coming anyway. It's a shame some on here have shown no class at all in celebrating Hughes demise but that was only to be expected but that's all irrelevant now as Lewis says lets get on with supporting the boys from Stoke next Saturday onwards ( or Monday for me and Lewis)

I totally agree here Doug, however, if City were going to make the jump then why not a world famous manager? I am gob smacked that we have this fella, I really am.

I really do not understand the timing, its diabolical.

I love city, it makes me and my family tick, it controls a lot of my feelings, but today I feel real sorrow as I feel we acted very bad for the club. Time will tell!

I agree with that and from listening to various so called experts on TV and radio , all football people , they seem to say the same thing. But I guess it all came down to timing. The owners felt they needed to do something NOW , rightly or wrongly , and there wouldnt have been many choices in mid season.

But I guess it's history now and lets get behind the new guy. I want 6 points over Christmas , a win at Boro and a place at Wembley.

Some wounds take time to heal. It's easy to want to move on quickly when you're not the one hurting.

In the long run this might well be good news for city. It's still tough to watch one of our most successful managers of my lifetime getting under circumstances like this.

I don't think he'll be waiting too long for a new job.

I'm gutted that he's gone, as I recon I've been watching the best attacking football I've seen since Bell, Lee & Summerbee but I'll get right behind the new bloke as I imagine will every single person who feels like I do. We didn't moan about Hughes & we won't moan about this bloke unless he's Stuart Pearce in disguise. Hopefully he'll turn out to be even better than Hughes & as the moaning twats all seem really happy now, perhaps we can all actually start enjoying the best fucking City team for forty years.

So now it suits you to get behind the manager you will do and you will encourage everyone else to. Thanks for this.

KK,
You know that I have massive respect for you as a person and am proud to have you as a pal.
That said...your original post was absolute BULLSHIT!!!!

First of all...Hughes did NOT divide fans...it was the attitude of impatience and intolerance of the fans themselves that divided fans. To accuse Hughes of causing division or even the appointment of Hughes as causing division is to abnegate responsibility for your own decisions.

Secondly, for some one who never accepted Hughes from day 1 to now demand that now he has gone, we should all get behind our new manager, is insulting to say the least.
When Sven was sacked, there was no thought about all pulling together in support of Hughes. You never offered Hughes any support at all.
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT
