Other than that, perfect draw for us

Game abandoned after 75 mins after both sides reduced to 8 men after huge punch up would be ideal. An injury to Suarez wouldn't go amiss either

Does anyone know the likely date for the game? I suppose it's probably the second best looking quarter final for the TV companies. Is the 5.15 kick off on a Saturday the prime spot or is that the 4 o'clock on Sunday? Would make a big difference to team selection.

Nah, I don't want to hope for any injuries, especially in the WC year. but I wouldn't mind if he lost it again and bit somebody again with another 10 game suspension ;)

It is the 8th or 9th. The Villa game has been cancelled but the Wigan game could be Saturday or Sunday

I was hoping for Ewe at home - he should get a great reception. And the team has another revenge to motivate them.

All four quarter finals will be on TV, two with BT Sport and two with ITV so it's really just the clubs sorting in out with TV companies, each channel gets one Sat game and one Sun game and I guess the big teams (City and Arsenal, if they are through) will force their way for Sat games as both have to travel away for CL games following that ...

Our league game postponed due to weather (with Sunderland) will become an issue as they now also have two other league games of their own to reschedule due to the FA Cup QF and one for the C1 Final ...

I see Fernandhino is in South Africa on 5th March playing for Brazil. This may affect the team lineup against the pie eaters.

Also depends upon how our first leg goes with Barca ... if it's all to play for in the second leg, Pelligrini might play a similar team as the one played them earlier in CapitalOne Cup (and ran out 5-0 winners) and save the big guns for Barca away ... but if Barca run away with the game this week and bag a few away goals in the process as well, then I guess by that time FA Cup QF could be taken a lot more seriously and a similar team will play at Nou Camp as the one who played Bayern away ...

I have just had a look and there is a full list of international fixtures on Wed 5th March including France, Spain, Argie etc. not great timing for us. Yes the first leg Barca result will dictate the team selection against Wigan. But Wigan have improved since the league cup and they also played a weaker team that night. Can't see Uwe doing that.

just saw that the FA Cup Semi finals at Wembley are the weekend of the 12th April, this is when we are scheduled to play against Liverpool at Anfield.

This fixture pile up is crazy, it will leave us with Sunderland, Villa and Liverpool to shoehorn in somewhere, we cannot use the Champions league dates that will free up is we do go out against Barca as we are not allowed to play on those nights.

thats the point though, we are not allowed to use those dates as it is a UEFA ruling, those dates are for UCL games only. This is why Hull have to play on the monday (tonight) and not tuesday/wednesday, only getting 2 days rest.
