Considering Hughes Standing in teh game, the press were always going to have a go at us if he went before summer when our final league position was known.

I couldn't agree more. If Mancini loses 3 games in the next 21 and we don't get to the final, lets get rid of him aswell.

Sorry to repeat what I just said on another thread but after 2 years in charge at Inter there were only 5 Italians left in Mancini's squad and he had 15 South Americans, including the captain.

Hughes has only been in charge for 21 games?

never been outside of italy, I sincerely hope our owners are 100% confident with this. I think we may see another RAMOS on the horizon, the premiership os avery different animal to any other league in the world.

I suppose we will have to wait and see if Hughes goes, but just for the record, if hughes is sacked, it is fucking disgraceful.

This year you clown!

Exactly what targets have been set that make a cup semi final and 6th in the league such a disaster.

That stated target was before Platini's proposals became more concrete and got approval from the European Club Association and before they brought forward 2 years worth of planned spending to one transfer window. It was also before Liverpool's plight became known and the size of the opportunity became clear.

I appreciate that Socrates, but i really, really don,t see mancini as the answer. Personally, I would have stuck with Hughes, but I understand the reasons for getting rid of him. I am just very underwhelmed with the replacement!

Could not have put it better myself. Hughes had his chance and didnt seize it. He can have no complaints. But his replacement, We are employing a guy who has whored himself about any job going and been knocked back by West Ham, Spurs (twice) and even put his cv in at Blackburn.

He has no trak record outside Italy, Never won a league title at Inter that was not handed to him in the courts or when the usual main rivals were dropped down to Seria B. Down nothing in the CL and was eventually replaces for that reason. Replaced by a manager who IS the type of calibre we should be aiming for.
