How easy is it to work for a newspaper. X team have had a bad run, manager X is in the firing line. Manager X is in line to replace him.

yr career is sorted then mate. No need for a new thread about career advice then either i suppose.

i could give a fucl about a new thread for this conversation. it's a news story, allegedly. Perhaps.

altho, when i step back for a second it honestly seems nailed on to me -- Hiddink rest of season with some performance and contractual clauses allowing parties to mutually extend the deal if certain goals are met, leaving the option open for Jose in the summer once he fucks off from Inter.

cheers

Cheeseman on GMR really stoking the fires with some comments - looks like this story is building up more steam than the Flying Scotsman´s engine

can't imagine Cheeseman would provoke or unsettle if it wasn't true. just isn't really his style is it...

Mate it's easier than I thought, this took 1 minute and is equal to the drivel that is printed daily...

before the match? Robinho to start then, he'll probably bag a hat trick.

Marwood as gaffer today maybe? can't believe it's true tbh.

I can't see us sacking him before the match - doesn't sound like something our owners would do.

i dunno...i kind of agree, but with Khaldoon i can see him not wanting to give him one last runout if he's made the decision. As i mentioned, they have a footballer that can stand on the touchline and wave his hands at a poor call or sit with his legs crossed and shake his head if need be. no worries there.

Great player though. Perhaps we could sign him as a player/ manager? We could even stick him centre back.

According to the Italian media (cough) it's done and it's Mancini:

Roberto Mancini will be the next coach of Manchester City. The former coach of Inter has 48 hours in England and is in talks with the leaders of the Citizens. The negotiation is now taking off: completed three years of contract. The announcement of his engagement will be given between tonight and tomorrow, whatever the outcome of the match this afternoon between City and Sunderland. The club of Manchester has now been successfully taken the decision to exempt Mark Hughes. The staff that Mancini will bring in Great Britain there will be as vice Fausto Salsano, former midfielder of Parma, Sampdoria and Roma, and as athletic trainer Andrea Carminati. Both were with the technician Jesi also Inter.

Will Socs rub one out a la David Carradine with this news if true?

I would prefer a mourinho or Wenger but Mancini is a definite upgrade on clueless.

Oh this will be fun, if Mancini comes in and does no better or even worse than Hughes I wonder how long it will take for the Fans to turn on him too. :)
