At least it wasn't another bloody draw.

I think Sunderland will reap the backlash of tonight.

Agreed: this must have been Richards best performance since the 2007-8 season.

I don't know is it that he's maturing, or sorted out his body-mass problems, or both.

Now if we can only get Onuoha-Toure to click
or perhaps substitute Kompany for one of them

I watched him closely - yes 4 or 5 things he did ;caught the eye' - a strong tackle here and there etc - but that did not make up for the countless times he was again out of position and I am so sick of seeing him job back casually when we are under the cosh in his area - Kolo sure knows how Dunne must have felt!! and this was a widespread view that I heard fans making in the crowd

Yes improved - but improved from crap

We won't get rid of Hughes. He has become a mantra to the owners. Like an addiction to alcohol.
Like the words of a junkie

I can get rid of it/him whenever I like.
Just one more go and then it's gone.
Just one more go
Just one more go

But it never happens
The same with many fans I'm afraid
They mistake their addiction to loyalty for faith.

No my friends. No matter how long you give a chimpanzee he will not write a book.

Very good analogy there mate ;-)

Its my birthday on Boxing Day, I'm hoping he will be gone shortly after, it will be the best gift ever!

If the special one comes in his place it could quite possibly be the best Xmas ever!

The Sheikh's aren't silly people, they will get rid of Lesley if he doesn't perform, but I think they will leave it until the summer so the twat has NO excuses whatsover that he has failed us.

I really dont know how he can play on the fact that we have only lost 2 games all season!

And what happens then? We have already spend 250m on players and have squad full of world class players. I wouldn't care if we didn't sign anyone on january. There is absolutely nothing wrong with the players we have got.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Agreed, we dont need more players here! What we need is a good Manager who can lead the world class players we have to victory!

Lets face it, we are going to be stuck with Hughes for this season, I can see it now, so from now on as we do with the scum because we despise them, I will refer to him as H****S!

Possibly a couple more top of the range in their positions wouldn´t go amiss but I agree in general with the basic premise

Watch us lose and then MH will claim players were suffering from jet lag following trip back from tonights game !! (well it's about the only excuse he has not yet used !! :-) )

Considering they took a train to London, that would be pretty damn funny ;)

He's been in the job for just over a season. You can hardly accuse the owners of giving him too much time

The track record this season is disappointing overall, given the outlays etc. To blame this 100% on MH is irrational (so is 0%). In commenting on January window, I mean that it represents an opportunity to ship an underachiever or two, and hopefully get someone who can anchor the back four. And I believe MH will rightfully be out within minutes of the season end if we are not in the top 6.
