just been reading his comments bridges injury. seems to be an ultimate pro and absolute gent to boot.

would be good to see him stay with us as a defensive coach if and when he retires, he has got the experience. he's probably won everything there is too win.

For once he was spot on, yes. I thought about that after the second time Lennon skinned him yesterday.

Quick memory jog matey, Bridge doesn't tackle.
It would have been the exact same story.
Rosey specs are on coz its not him making the usual fuck ups.

after all said and done, we need a fucking good left back, and it should be top priority in January.

Bridge does tackle they just arent bone crunchers pal.
Defenders dont have to be Pearce types,Evra isnt the greatest of tacklers but fuck me he is good Bridge is our most improved player he has been solid for ages.
What should happen is,we ditch Sly and get more top competition for Bridge in Jan.

He doesn't tackle mate, he just stands in front of them and hopes they kick it at him.
He has slightly improved, but he's still infuriating. We need a new left back, better than Bridge, and let Bridge be his competition.

No doubt pal equal level or higher you cant deny weve looked poor on that left side since he has been injured,Bridge isnt the best player in the world or whatever BUT....He is miles better than Sly.

He really really is.

Next question is.......

Who?

I dont know,i really dont.

Cole,Evra...No chance. After that hmmmmmm who is on the continent? Im stuck.

Sly looked top against Bolton, but got taught a lesson yesterday. He'll be top again on saturday against sunderland. Don't forget mate, Lennon is fucking rapid, and a top player to boot. Bridge wouldn't have been able to deal with him.

Lescott. I really liked him on the left for Everton. Better leftback than centerback imo.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

One good game's not enough to rate him as mint, and one bad one doesn't mean he's garbage either.

Lennon was on fire to be fair, and Sly got twisted. He got precious little cover from Robinho tho, who was really poor and shouldn't have been surprised to be subbed. I hpoe it was himelf he was pissed off with, but I doubt it.

I think it might have been a different story with Swp and Bellers in there, starting the team's defending higher up the pitch, but it's gone now, and we got battered. However good Silvinho and Bridge might be, I agree with those who say a top class left back should be a priority. Dunno who's available tho, I don't watch enough European football and can't think of any over here. Apologies to Garrido!

I think its bad that we really rely on bellers, swp and ireland. Two are home grown, with swp getting on a bit and now injury prone. Bellers was a mid-level purchase we could have made without the millions. Same with de jong.

All the money and world class signings and who is essential to our starting 11? I'd say tevez and tevez only. We need more players with the fight and mentality of tevez, swp, and bellers.
