Then I took a large sip of ale. Probably the best gulp of beer I've had since 13/5/12.

Fantastic.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Fantastic quote. This is also what all you oldtimers should rejoice about when you feel that there's too many glory hunters in the ranks. No matter what reason they have for supporting City, they will never have the history. Never.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Whenever I make this point, about the context of 13/5/12, they all harp on about 1999.... they will never experience that feeling - the way we felt cursed to death before we equalised (even after for me, as old posters know, I am a miserable sod).

Tbf my Rag mates all sent me a text saying well done to us for winning the league and were actually remarkably gentlemanly given the nature of the events. Can't say I would have acted the same way if it was them scoring a last minute winner to win the league.

higgsboson (Manchester United): united-we-win: asbsolutely right..Chargging 40 plus quid for the worst seats in the stadium, for what on the website is a sellout game....whilst rows and rows and rows of seats are empty closer in....the vultures, are just fixing the ticket prices so they can squeeze out every penny and fleece us dry.....the ticket prices have doubled since they took over..what about letting kids from local schools in for free to take the empty seats...on cold weekday nights...I'd happily pay 40 quid for a crappy seat then......

So did some of mine, but not one of the lousy twats over here who had been texting me non stop, even to gloat about winning the league when I was at Wembley for the Stoke game. Not one text from any of them.

Loads of txts from rag mates in Norway etc.

Most of em here are just bitter wankers, like they accuse us of being.

They have a good keeper I'll give them that and an alright defense but look at their midfield! Valencia is passed it, Cleverley is shite, Giggs needs a walking stick, Jones is ok at getting in the way but can't do anything on the ball. Young is shite, Nani has the odd good game in ten. Kagawa looks half decent but clearly not enjoying playing under Moyes. Their only 'good' midfielder is Carrick imo.

RVP as well is not as good as he was last season, Welbeck- the less said the better. Hernandez is pretty decent but underplayed.

Rooney is their only real world class talent anymore imo and is absolutely carrying the side. Without him, I don't even think they'd make the top half.

Keeping him is the only good thing Moyes has done for them imo.

the worrying thing is not so cleverley, wellshite, diving young and the new duncan edwards wil probably go to brazil !!!!!!

I have just today from a pound shop bought my 5 yr old Nephew a Red Sledge, my wife who is very good with graphics/arty stuf will be addingthe Moyes message "Downhill from Here and rag badge" Now my brother was at least 8 weeks in being able to face me after the last day Title Win. This should have him up on the Umist Building roof. The other rag brothers fear the following.... One empty place on Christmas day or Boxing day might be a day early, We have bought a proper present as well for those who fear for the boys present being binned or smashed..stay tuned for further updates.

Haha

Manchester United striker Robin van Persie has been ruled out for a month with a thigh injury.

United boss David Moyes confirmed the Holland international had suffered the injury when he took the corner that led to Phil Jones' match-winner in the Champions League triumph over Shakhtar Donetsk on Tuesday.

"Robin van Persie is out for a month," said Moyes.

"He picked up a thigh strain in taking a corner kick which led to the goal."

Moyes added: "It is unfortunate because I think if you look at our record with Wayne Rooney and Robin in the team it is actually very good and we have not had them for quite a period recently.

"Marouane Fellaini has a bit of a back injury.

"Michael Carrick is missing and Robin is going to miss four weeks with a thigh strain. That is a big blow to us."

Ahaha.

Its fucking typical that he would return to normal once Ferguson left. I swear that man had done a deal with the devil to make him footballs luckiest jammiest man.

Anyway, him and Shrek are their best players by a mile and that will really hurt them. RVP carried them last season.

Just lead Shrek to throw another wobbly now or get injured to cap it all off.

On the other hand they will be helped by the fact Smalling is also out. Apparently Cleverley has admitted to being average this season. He didn't say in which game he was that good.
