Your views on tonights game?

Postby shawzy » Wed Dec 16, 2009 10:19 pm

Not good tonight...City's strenght is width...Poor Micah on his own running the whole right flank was a sorry sight to see and i applaud the bloke for putting a shift in and trying his very best.
We missed SWP or Weiss so badly.
MH got it totally wrong tonight.Tactics,Everything...Get ya act sorted out..This is not good enough.

Not a Hughes out thread..Please keep your opinions on the manager in the Hughes thread thanx..Just opinions on Spurs game only .

I thought we were brilliant and unlucky. Dawson handballed it and the ref was shit.

I was one of the ones saying give Hughes time.. but our defence has been shit for months and tonight despite having Tevez, Ade and Robinho up front we did fuck all. Redknapp would of got more out of our team tonight and that says it all. 1 league win in 10.. we will never get top 4 with Hughes.

The guy is a buffoon the Spuds full backs never broke sweat and it was plainly obvious if we could have got behind them they were vulnerable.Zabba should have played imo and at least kept there right back in his own half when they could not give it Lennon they just gave it to Charlie and Robbie was'nt going to track back all match so Sylvino was on a hiding to nothing.

Appalling performance, Ade especially, he wasn't awake for most of the game.

How can Lesley go from so good to so bad in such a short space of time?

Bring on the special one in January!!!!!!

Seriously lads, I think anyone, even with little football management, could not do much worse than Hughes tactics tonight, he is not earning his money, the clubs owners are being ripped off,as us the fans.

Adebayor has clearly decided he can coast through to the African Nations Cup, then score the odd goal when he comes back
Lets just dump him now, and give Rocky a start: he put more effort into the game than Adebayor

Barry is a liability,....PERIOD!
Meaning he's not contributing anything POSITIVE to the team, and is a burden on his teammates.

Give Garrido a run, Hughes; he had actually improved towards the end of last season, and, on reflection, had got to be a better defender than Bridge
(and certainly better than Sylvinho)

Once the second goal went in, I stopped watching.
I just KNEW!

I am one of the softer city fans and like to sit tight abit and give all City staff a benefit of the doubt, but after tonights game im really fuckin hurt..The whole tactical balance was so wrong for me and i hate slagging our gaffer cuz i like him,but he fucked up tonight :-(

Their serious weak link at the back is Corluka but did Robinho trouble him at all? We were very ineffective all over the pitch tonight and showed no fight whatsoever. Adebayor & Robinho were totally anonymous. I would like to say that Tevez & De Jong put a shift in but the rest were very poor indeed.

Top 4?

Absolutely no hope. Check out Birmingham City's ability to beat shit teams, against our ability to snatch draws against them. Our play over the last 3 months already means we can scrap the top 4 chase, for a scramble for the top 6.

The Carling Cup will hopefully save our season but there is slim hope unless we learn how to defend as a unit. The team is crying out for a leader at the back, and a captain on the field. Looked a rudderless, shapeless ship tonight and for want of a better word, a soft touch.

Agreed regarding Adebayor. I'd drop him for RSC for Saturday. I thoughy Rocky looked decent when he came on. At least he was winning the ball, and looked liked he gave shit.
