If a 3-0 hammering is what you call a narrow defeat what do you call a 1-0 defeat? How you can actually take ANY positives out of tonight and remain optimistic about the future under Hughes is beyond me.

The only thing that was Narrow about that was our play for 95mins - after 15 mins it became painfully obvious that we'd never break them doing going through the centre - but the useless welsh clunt changed fook all to stretch the play to the wings ...

Outfought, outplayed, out-everythinged by Spurs tonight.

The four lads I watched it with all shook our heads when we saw the shape of the team, with Sylvinho and Robinho down the left against Lennon, who promptly murdered us down that side.

Not one City player did themselves any justice tonight.

I await the usual suspects "perspective" post on City's season, but lets deal with the reality. One win in the league in two and a half months, which with this squad of players is quite frankly some achievement. The whole lot of them need to take a long hard look at themselves as theres quite a few of them with big fat reputations just not doing it.

Thats down to a number of reasons outside of his control, mainly hughes terrible tactics, tevez standing in his position constantly and ade refusing to take up a position in space to pass too
