WE NEED A WIN AGAINST SPURS TOMORROW.

Birmingham ahead of us now as well. OK, I know we have two games in hand, but shows just how much of an opportunity we have missed in the last two months.

Definitely ..... if we'd managed to turn a few of those bad draws into wins we could well have been on the same points as Villa with 2 games in hand

Haha..Bloody madness..I cant believe you 2 are even worried...Have faith..Were a good side and will overtake them with ease as the season goes on.

Not worried about Birmingham it's the likes of Villa, Spurs and Liverpool all that are going for 4th along with us

Currently, we have dropped 8pts more than Chelsea, which makes it a long haul if we wish to overtake them at the top.
We have only dropped 5pts more than the rags and Arsenal, so they are still well within our sights if we can get our act together. 2nd or 3rd is still well within range.
We have dropped the same (19) as Villa and 2pts less than Spurs and 5pts less than the scousers.

Villa and Spurs are free of any European commitments as are we, but Chelsea, the rags and Arsenal are all entering that part of the CL where their squads will be taxed to the full. We also know that the scousers and the rags aren't going to stregnthen substantially in the coming transfer window, which makes it all the more interesting.

I can see City, Villa and Spurs all challenging later in the year for 2nd or 3rd, whilst the rags and Arsenal could easily drop points due to pressure on their squads.

This season could be about to become very interesting indeed...as Chinners says...just like the old days.

Yes i do realize its premature to expect us to win the prem, but its better overall to aim higher than 4th and see where we end up.

I fully agree with this. Well top two are out of reach but I don't see why Arsenal shouldn't be target as well. Aim high and if you fall little short we will still have reached our target of top 4.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Let's just concentrate on winning the next game eh? and the next one after that, and the one after that and so on.

It all comes out in the wash anyway.

Agree chinners, just like the 70's where anyone of 10 teams could win the title. These youg-uns have had their enjoyment spoiled by the domination of 4 clubs these last few years.
If/when City REALLY start to fire on all cylinders we can definately win this league. No one team is running away with it this year and we are officially the hardest team to beat in the prem so there is no reason why we cannot take the title at our first go. 4th spot is an absolute minimum requirement for Hughes to keep his job.

The target is to win the next game. Anything else is just modern, americanised, performance-management bollox.

Anyone who wins a load of 'next games' will win the league. End of story.

I dont see why we shouldn't be aiming for the treble.
Cup double at least.

Dead right mate.

as long as we're in a competition we should be aiming to win it with the side we have.

Aiming mind, not EXPECTING to.
