Robinho's City Future Looks Doomed (NotW)

Postby King Kev » Sun Dec 13, 2009 10:17 am

Have these hacks got nothing better to do than write this sort of shite??

ROBINHO'S Manchester City future looks doomed after snubbing the club's Christmas party for foster kids.

City boss Mark Hughes was furious after the £32.5million Brazilian ignored his instructions to attend last Tuesday's bash at a bowling alley in Didsbury.

Robinho, 25, is alleged to have laughed at team-mates as they set off after training while he went home. Embarrassed City executives were forced to send a chauffer-driven car to fetch him from his luxurious Cheshire home.

But even then Robinho had to be coerced into finally turning up TWO HOURS late - just as the children were about to leave.

Robinho had been billed as the star attraction and an eye-witness inside the Parrs Wood Centre told the News of the World: "There was disappointment among parents and children.

"Everyone knew who to blame. They probably wanted to see him more than anyone else.

"All the other players and the manager were fantastic.

"You could tell they had little ones of their own and they were totally at ease with them.

"They were a credit to their club and their profession.

"But the feeling was that Robinho had shown some very unfortunate children a complete lack of respect.

"It just shows how one person can let the whole side down."

Hughes will almost certainly impose a hefty fine on the controversial Brazilian.

City take their community commitments very seriously and only injured stars like Wayne Bridge and Craig Bellamy were excused from attending.

This is the latest in a string of incidents where the former Real Madrid player has openly flouted club rules and left officials embarrassed.

Last season on a UEFA Cup trip to Copenhagen, he ignored the team's dress code by wearing trainers with his suit, and not putting on a tie.

He was also fined two weeks' wages in January for leaving City's mid-season training camp in Tenerife without permission.

Complete and utter bullshit! Because on the video it shows him taking an interview and all the little kids are still bowling and then he is signing loads of autographs soon after.

Ha, It is a tough one init. :)

I feel that another apology from another newspaper might be coming our way soon if City can be bothered complaining. This is the kind of crap that can eventually unsettle our players.

He did turn up at the end of the bowling but everyone seemed to know he was running late " because of traffic". I was told before the event that he was the player lined up for an interview and that's what happened when he got there.

Othere missing were Weiss and Johnson for obvious reasons but not mentioned by the rag paper.

IF Hughes was furious and IF he intends to fine Robinho then there is a kernel of truth in it. But as it's the NotW I doubt it. There seemed no great anger or discontent from what I saw that he wasn't there from the start. You can just imagine a reporter saying to some nobody at the bowl " it's really disappointing Robinho isn't here isn't it"

For the record Hughes also arrived at the end of or close to the end ofthe actual bowling.

was this the pars wood thing because i saw the video and there was a guy that kinda looked a little bit like him saying he wants to stay and his family are happy here i mean i know papers add things to stories to sell but are they allowed to just make random stuff up its like kids writing "becky is a slag" on a bus stop when becky is probably a nice girl, that is the only thing i can think of to compare journalist's to

I heard that he loves Man City, loves the fans, loves everything but Manchester the place.

If he can go to Barca in Jan he will.

I also read the article where he says he wants to stay here for years to come, textbook P.R or true feelings? I dunno what to believe.

As for this story, stinks of shit.

Even better one for the "daft story" pot

Robinho's commitments to his local gym are fueling rumours of a move away from Manchester City in January.

The People says Robinho is on his way out in January because of news from his local health and fitness club.

Rumours abound that the Manchester City striker will be leaving Eastlands in the next transfer window.

The fact he has chosen to extend his David Lloyd membership in leafy Cheshire for two months rather than a full year won't dampen speculation about a move to Barcelona.

Just read that myself and wondered why he was cancelling in mid Feb rather than the start of Jan?
