I dont think either of them are top class.

He can pass and tackle.
Thats already a 100% improvement.
Bingo Lewis wrote:As you all probably know, I'm no big admirer of Bridge. Now seeing Sly in our team makes me realise that Bridge is definately not good enough. Sly was quality for most of the game. always covering defensively, great going forward. Didn't misplace a single pass and actually put a fucking foot in.
sorry for turning it into a bit of a Bridge bash, but the main point of this is that He had a great game on saturday and I think he should be in front of Bridge in the lineup.

Based on one game? Do you not think if he was consistently outperforming Bridge in training he would already be in front of him?
That jerking knee must play havoc with yr driving.

Plus the tackle he put it leading up to the brilliant second goal of ours. That was mensch stuff.

He was good apart from being nowhere near where he should be for the first goal....and WB would have been crucified for that.
Personally I think that all our defence will ultimately prove to be "good enough" players.
I would like to sign another good defender who can cover cover CB and RB and just give them all time to become a unit.....throwing another stranger into the mix (no matter how good he is) in January does not guarantee a better second half of the season defensively and it's a bit naive to expect it to IMO

Plain to see mate yes.
and it may have just been one game, but it was a massive breath of fresh air.
Is that chip on your shoulder not starting to smell a bit now?

The proverbial 'chip the on shoulder' is of wood, not fried potato as you seem to think, regardless, I've no idea what yr talking about. Care to explain?
