Kompany boost for City
COMEBACK TRAIL: Vincent Kompany
By Stuart Brennan | 8 Oct 2013 08:59
Vincent Kompany could return to action for City in the crunch match against Chelsea on October 27.
A scan on Monday revealed that the Blues skipper had picked up a thigh strain during the 3-1 win over Everton on Saturday, and not a recurrence of the groin problem which kept him out for three weeks at the start of the season, as first feared.
City’s medical staff have not confirmed the extent of the strain, although it is understood that the injury is not too serious – and Kompany could be back playing in three weeks if it is a grade one injury.
He is expected to pull out of the Belgium squad for their World Cup qualifying games against Croatia and Wales
He is also likely to miss City’s trip to West Ham a week on Saturday, and is a doubt for the trip to play CSKA Moscow.

More reporting based on guesswork so.

Bit like Boateng when he played for us - he pulled out of one tackle in a season and that was it. How the feck he plays for Bayern, I'll never know. Can't believe we didn't start with Negredo who'd have made him his bitch in about 3 minutes.

Because the manager was resting him for the everton game?
Your right leg I like; I've got nothing against your right leg. The trouble is neither have you.

Advise her to trim more often and it won't come to that.

So now we're concentrating on the league? Why did we rest players for Villa then?

As has already been pointed out, this type of stat is more or less worthless unless it's combined with other information.

Only one stat matters in football. Goals for and goals against - that's the one they actually write down on a sheet, and base the lge table on.

I think points are kind of important as well.

And how exactly are the pts allocated? By the goals scored for and against in each game. Fact.

But if you win a game 10-0 and lose the next seven 1-0, you'll be bottom of the table with a positive goal difference.

1 point each, which is determined/allocated by the goals scored, or not scored, by each team; this again highlights the goals scored or not scored by either team as the only stat that matters. Fact (again). When pts allocated are tied, goals scored (for and against) also separate teams in their placing, again ... oh forget it.

Statto freak!
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"
"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Goaters,
Do you ever get the feeling that you're stood against a wall with a blindfold on with a line of rifles pointed at you...Just for being correct...:-)
I KNOW THAT YOU BELIEVE THAT YOU UNDERSTOOD WHAT YOU THINK I WROTE, BUT I AM NOT SURE YOU REALISE THAT WHAT YOU READ IS NOT WHAT I MEANT
