Anybody remember international football in the 70's loads of English players and the only foreigners were Scots, Welsh and Irish.
and! we didnt qualify for two world cups and a few Euro's.

So even with England players, playing week in week out for their clubs, no squad rotation with pesky foreigners we still couldnt qualify or win world cups or Euros.

Why is it English players never go abroad anyway? I mean you don't have to go to Barcelona, why do no players go to the Levante's or your Torino's or whoever? Even if English players are mostly crap they should be able to find their level abroad if they wanted to. It just seems for whatever reason English footballers don't emigrate well. I'm not sure why that is.

Anyway to fix the England team you have to produce good footballers from youth, which our clubs can afford to invest into, and then the more good players we have the more likely they are to play for better teams and make the England team. But the fact is most of our youngsters are relatively shit and the future for England looks mostly hopeless.

10 years ago I thought we were overrated garbage, and now the team has got much much weaker since even then.

I love how he's suddenly become patriotic after turning his back on the national team.

Correct - and that is because we coach the wrong way , English coaches are shite more often than not, with the hoof it upfield mentality that lasted decades.

We basically have not got a scooby fucking doo and I dont care.
THEY SAY SWEARING IS DUE TO A LIMITED VOCABULARY. I KNOW THOUSANDS OF WORDS, BUT I STILL PREFER "FUCK OFF" TO "GO AWAY"

We have won one thing and that was in 1966 so the f.a and their shite excuses can fuck off. We have shit coaches who are not educated properly in different styles of play. Too much emphasis is placed on speed and power and not technical ability. Many English players are chosen on their athletic ability and not their footballing ability. Until this changes England will win absolutely fuck all.
