viagogo

Postby city9_4eva » Sun Sep 01, 2013 4:32 pm

Being a Blue Member, I missed out on tickets for the derby, and when this usually happens I turn to the ticket exchange site known as viagogo, I found 2 tickets in the family stand, it says 1 adult and 1 u16. I'm hopfully going with my old man so like before when I've purchased tickets off here I presume they will just both be classed as an adult ticket when I purchase them. This has been the case when I bought an adult and an u16 for the arsenal match last year and did the same for the Newcastle match this year, they were both just adult tickets when I picked them up from the ticket office. This time however I rang the club as it wasn't letting me buy them and they informed me that it was because I wasn't taking an u16 and if you sit in the family stand you have to take an u16??! has anyone else had trouble with this?? sorry for the long post

I sit in the family stand and, following a discussion with customer services, upped my daughter's ticket to platinum so I could sell it for night games.

Couple of weeks later found a FAQ online which said I basically couldn't sell it. Another conversation later, which took a couple of them to decide the answer, they confirmed that you can only sell a child seat as a child seat and it has to be sold with an adult seat.

There used to be lots of people without kids in the family stand, so maybe it's a change for this season.

There is an alternative to viagogo that has been set up by City fans on twitter i think its called TicketX and they only sell any tickets at face value. They are mainly tickets from true fans who cannot attend the game due to holidays or other reasons.

Any blue members who purchased their card before 19th Sep (first game) can get tickets for the Derby off viagogo now regardless of how many loyalty points they have! there's about 30 tickets on there, going to have to pay a little bit over the odds for them, but it is the Derby. Got 2 earlier 120 for the pair had to get them in the same block but different rows as there are only single seats left...... so snap them up blues!!

Whatever happened to the City Family, friends and colleagues doing deals between themselves. Viagra is for those who are late-comers or those who've bought tickets to make money.

You plan your life about the game, not against it.

I saw one on there the other day season ticket seat £46 that's not what they paid for it so they preach no over the odds tickets but not totally true

@CityTicketX seems to be a really good source to get tickets at face value. I saw a hell of a lot of trading being done last year on twitter, only problem is How do you get your card back without having to hang around and wait to get it back, the whole reason people sometimes cant go is because they cannot get there, so it is sometimes a trust thing, which is where Viagogo have the edge as they just allow the seat to be activated on someone elses card.

I have planned my life about the game, booked it off work soon as the fixtures came up, Ive been to every game so far this season, no i'm not a late comer! you sound like a typical rag, (obviously your not mate) but that's what they say. This is the only time Ive had to buy off viagogo, as Im a blue member but they sold out they day after release while I was working, my second option was my local supporters club but they only got allocated 5, so my last option was viagogo and 120 quid for 2 for me and my old man, is not bad at all seeing as though they were what... 47 for adult? Viagogo is a bitch with the added on fees I give you that. but its safe and reliable!
The tickets were actually 47.50 each but with the vat and SHIPPING FEES??!! don't know why but it was 60 each.
I recommend viagogo, as a last resort.
Just got my tickets for everton at home not bad priced 33 for an adult!
