7 yellow cards, one red card isn't that a typical Mourinho side?

Great game of football but giving Lukaku the decisive kick was a big mistake. Much more experienced players should have stepped up.

Tough shit but at least they were there

Lukaku should not have been taking that.

PS. Chelsea played very well for their system and probably only lost due to the sending off.

Gary Cahill was brilliant. Great game by him. Chelsea did well to last as long as they did.

Torres was garbage after his goal. He pulled one move but failed to hit the target. I started watching after 15 minutes and he got bitched until he was subbed.

Was working so only saw snippets of this, but Bayern didn't look 'all that' to me & I thought we were unlucky not to do them pre season.

I think we can beat these cunts (assuming we close the circus & put a defence together)

He's fond of those tactics he took the good out of many a classico playing like that.Killed the game against the rags aswell.

won the CL like that as well....no sides are better at playing without the ball than his you might guess.

cheers

i felt the same way. They had a lot of attacking intent, but were somewhat sloppy and clearly have some places we can exploit.

I'll tell you what tho...i lust Robben. I'd have him in our side in a heartbeat. I love his energy and devotion to his role. Love it. Not dissing Jesus...i mean, who would right?

According to the Daily mirror they "taught us a lesson" at the Allianz last time in the Cl. That's not how I saw it and agree with you Ted, especially after the chances we created pre-season. We'll need some officials with some guts though who wont fall for em falling over in a stiff breeze and has the balls to give us those stonewall penalties we didn't get last time.

Bayern will be ready for us, I hope we will be ready for them. Last time sat there it was a strange feeling being well in the game and out of it in a flash.Once they got the measure of us it became one of the few times recently when we looked outclassed.
Fans in the ground had no idea about Tevezgate, A must visit City and stadium boys if you have never been.

just thought id bump this ahead of the england game.

Also got thinking about the apparent lack of eligible players for England.

My mate's a fulham fan and he showed me this video of a kid in their ranks who has been outstanding for them apparently at youth level

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=REoTPhR5M0M

I do think there is potential in a lot of english youngsters you just wonder what on earth goes wrong at the age of 18/19. Most just never learn to become 'footballers' - they hit a wall very early on. There's countless kids like the one in the video aged around 15/16 with all the ability on the ball but for some reason they stall. We've gotta overturn that really.

Tbh this whole post was just an excuse to post that video and in general spark a debate about youth development and that...
