A difficult one but I'm going for Edin.

Big Ed, he never once stopped looking for the ball.

DzeKo, Class play

Almost every other touch of Dzeko lead to something or other

I see no reason to disagree with the stadium announcer.

Could have been Yaya or Silva or Kompany easily, lots of good performances.

Lil Ferdinand, followed by Edin for me.

It was like having the tackling of De Jong AND the ability to actually play in the opposition's half in one player. He made me feel like he's got a coupla red cards in him this season maybe, and was passing the ball to the opposition too much, but for a home debut in this league i thought he was the perfect complement to Yaya.

cheers

I went for Edin, for shear effort and improvement on last year. I would like to say (Sorry Carl) but Lescott looked great

Only watched the first 45 but Edin for me on that showing. Miss all the chances you like if we win 4-0.

Navas for me, on the strength of an excellent debut. Other teams will be on the back foot whenever he plays. Edin largely superb but thought he could have converted a couple of those chances he had.

Watching Toure and Fernandinho walk around the middle of the pitch was like watching Max and Skate team up in Streets Of Rage II.

Without being to deflamatory I still don't see it. I believe it's there and have every faith that he'll get there but MotM, are you fucking crazy!

You're a 'Fernando Licker', nothing worse. What the fuck did he do today apart from making amends?

I had Silva shading Dzeko by the slimmest margin but there were great performances right across the team - everyone put a good shift in and if this level of team spirit and work ethic is what we can expect from the lads under MP then that'll do nicely thank you.
If we had De Gea and the rags had Hart, we'd be top with a 9 point lead and they'd be in 12th place - that's the difference between a 'good' keeper and a 'top class' keeper - 12 places - think about it.

Pellegrini, made this team reach its potential.

Other than that, Navas. Great effort, always a threat and would have had a couple of assists if Dzeko had converted.
