And it went in."

Assume we've all seen the news that Bale has agreed personal terms with Real Madrid.

I realise how racist this would look if he were black, but he's the whitest man alive so let's all just move on with our lives.

He's a one good season, he would struggle to be worth 30 million. Daniel levy is tight arse.

Props to Levy if he gets anywhere the rumoured 85-100m for Bale though

Given his history then I'd value him in low end of the 10s.

Dirty banana munching bastard.

I never suggested he wasn't. I was asking BBS did he not rate the players I mentioned.

I'm with ADVT on this, I reckon they'll make top 4 with or without Bale. If they spend the Bale money ( provided they sell of course ) wisely though they could add that strength in depth.

Agreed, I think they'd be monkey nuts not to sell him for that price.

The only slight problem i see is who would they buy??? Are there 4 or 5 quality players available?

No doubt he is a very good player on his day but I really can't get my head around the kind of money that is involved in this deal.Yes he is coming off the back of a fantastic season but prior to that he has just been good in patches here and there.I think Spuds have pulled off the deal of all deals here and would go as far as saying I think he will struggle to make a major impact at Madrid. The pressure with that kind of price tag will become increasingly hard to live with if he fails to instantly produce the same kind of form he found last season.

Nor can I understand why they would want him to replace Ronaldo.

This deal makes me concerned that the rags could end up with ronaldo as surely Real now have to sell to find this?

I still think city to sign ronaldo is a possible proposition btw, especially if real are genuinely interested in Aguero (they would have sold 50 goals a season and replaced him with a left winger who will maybe bag 20/25 if they are lucky, so would have to be in the market for a striker having let higuain go also).

As unpalatable as I would find signing the cunt, I dont think I would be able to stop laughing at rags for weeks if it came off.

If the merry-go round starts with bale, what would you prefer? Ronaldo back to the swamp, or coming to city with Aguero leaving?

It would solve the "problem" left side of attack quite nicely.

And to hear their whinging would be v funny!

Fair point, I heard talk of Di Maria and Coentrao going the other way in the Bale deal, that would be a real coup. Centre of defence still looks weak for them. Don't rate Dawson ( poor man's JT ), Gallas past it, Kaboul fitness issues but Vertonghen is quality. Surprised they let Caulker go really, although they got a decent wedge for him.

Indeed. I don't watch la liga or serie a so I don't really know who's around, but I guess they'd get linked with everyone. I still think they're short of 2 strikers though, Rooney to spuds anyone?!

I think he's to vain to go to Tottenham. It's too big of a risk for him to go to a team that's not established in the European football-elite.
