It s insane thread with this much good players . I think Pelle will adapt to any team we play. He will do what Bob did rotate but with one big difference , hes way better in communication with players and he can make this bunch in to one unit, team , what Bob never seams to manage and give them hunger i hope.
You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Cant decide between the strikers yet

Switch Lescott to Nastasic and I'm going to go with this.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

From my limited knowledge of the new players, i'd tend to agree slim.

I'm still mystified as to how kolarov, dzeko and garcia appear on even that list though.

Barry has not had the best pre-season. He has made a lot of loose passes.

I love Barry and hope it's just a bit of rust he is shaking off before the season gets underway. If not, can't see him playing a lot of games this season.

I for one hope he stays on and eventually gets some kind of role with the club. He's a model professional.

We can't be fully sure about the new lads yet but, we have fantastic depth in the squad. It's hard to actually pick a best eleven and MP will have to figure that out on the job and apply in different scenarios. Always good to have options though

Oh yeah, look what I did.

Well I am not a fan of Barry or Garcia, I wonder if we can get a bald left footer in by the time the window closes.

And if you saw him on Saturday night, you'd see a very singular reason why he will feature heavily.

I didn't mean as direct replacements, but clearly we will only have x number of spots in each formation for creative players.

I did see him Saturday night and it's cool to see, I guess either I'm so used to us not using wingers or I underestimated his powers. Not arguing against him, just wondering how I got to my perception.

The problem is Milner, he is such a quality player leaving him out is a huge issue in whatever formation we play. If we had a kid coming through who can step up as backup for Navas, I'd be tempted to get rid of Garcia and Barry and have Milner line up in the middle.

Haha funny how that started as a debate and now you've just read my mind.

Where did Milner come in POTY standings last year? Top 3 for me yet none of us ever put him in our ideal 1st 11.

Milner was superb last season, only second to Zab in terms of our best performer, and I hope Pellegrini has him firmly in our plans this season. He links up so well on the wing with Zab, but as Slim has said, he can play in the middle too.

Somehow he wasn't even in the top 5 in the POTY poll on the official website, yet Dzeko and Aguero were 4th and 5th respectively. But then that is the same poll which gave Richard Dunne POTY 4 years in a row...

No joking, Barry is better defensive midfielder than Garcia and better leftback than Kolarov. And I say this in full knowledge that Barry has lost most of what little pace he ever had.
