Saw an interesting piece (interesting for its total bullshit value) in the guardian overnight

"David Moyes will also wait until Marouane Fellaini's buy-out clause expires on 31 July before deciding whether to move for him and the manager is hopeful of striking a better deal than the £23m currently required to prise him from Everton. Whether the Scot decides to move for the Belgian may hinge on the success of his pursuit of Fábregas, with Moyes describing negotiations as "ongoing" on Thursday"

So firstly we are told that he will wait until fellainis clause expires. But then in the next sentence find that this has no fucking relevance at all to the timing of an offer, because what will dicate an offer being made is whether the stalking of fabregas is successful.

So essentially, dealing with the first part of this lie, we are being told that if a player has a clause for £100m, but is only worth £10m, there is no point even trying to negotiate a deal below £100m because the selling club wont listen? But all of a sudden, on expiry of the clause, the £10m offer would be considered.

Utter fucking bullshit, and more apologism for dithering dave and his transfer tactics.

But overall a completely inept piece of footballing journalism.

isn't this the same fitness coach who came out and said he could manage wales just after speed died?

The same guy alright. What an utter clown. He has made the same accusations to numerous of clubs and managers.

Agreed, but I think he might be right in this case.

Why? Because in this case he is talking about someone we don't like?

As everyone else in this thread has well pointed out, based on his time at Everton there is very little evidence for this being true.

Looking forward to seeing what he has to say about new Barca boss Martino stating that they will reject all bids for Fabregas.

The vice-chairman has already told them to sling their hook, so this won't stop them. Not until the last week of the transfer window when they sign Hibbert will the veil be lifted. Either that or they are actually in a complete mess. Either way....

City are doing the same thing, you have to be as fit as possible going into the campaign to endure 9 months of games at the top level.

Training is a lot more nuanced than "X hours or sessions/day". How much sprinting, walking, changing direction, amount of rest, strength training, game time, and 100 other factors all go in. Then you also have to factor in players diets, rest, recuperation, stretching, warming up, massages, ice bath.... It's why you see about 5 fitness coaches tracking and guiding our players every activity in the videos.

Maybe because gollum is "stuck in the stone age" because isn't used to having the resources of a big club available (analytics, support staff for support staff, consultants, facilities...) and sacked almost all of the rag's backroom staff (so few people left to fill him in).

I predict that they will finish 4th this year and just qualify for the CL. Just enough to keep the fans from erupting.

"All over the world in pre-season you see the pattern ‘overtraining-fatigue-injuries’. Always avoid accumulation of fatigue in pre-season.

"But as long as most dinosaurs are still in denial & ignore how things develop in other countries, nothing will ever change in Jurassic Park. Obviously, players like RVP should learn to protect themselves better against ‘overtraining’ & ‘punishing training’

OVERTRAINING-FATIGUE-INJURIES - I know you want to believe this article because it sheds Utd in a bad light but City are having triple sessions... That is a fact!!

I am not criticising Pellegrini, just simply pointing out that this is happening at our club too, therefore do you believe the staff from the top two clubs in the country would both make the same mistake? I believe that this intense training is not abnormal, this article just one mans opinion that you choose to take as fact because it suits your agenda.

I will tell you one thing as sure as Friday is the day before tomorrow. Ferguson is already back involved with some avuncular advice to help boy Moyes with this whole fabregas business and boy Moyes is already getting a sweat on his teenage not shaving yet shoulders because he knows he comes across like a dickhead. Oh and he is

I'm almost tempted to reply with your same stupid "whoosh" gif.

Firstly I'm hardly offended, my reply was laded with as much sarcasm as possible. Because if your first reply was as cleverly written as you seem to be implying I'm definitely not seeing it.

That said, apparently you thought I was "offended" at "being wrong" somehow, so perhaps I've been guilty of the same thing (writing a sarcastic post you didn't understand)

Then again its 2:25am here and I'm not really in the mood to sit around clarifying it further for you or debating it anymore. So I'll just point out you are fucking retarded and wish good day to you.

Exactly.
Also, triple sessions. Clearly that's nothing short of slavery. Tevez used to fight against double sessions where there was great chance of injury in walking through tactics. I mean it's inhumane to take away professional footballers mid-day PS3 session. But TRIPLE sessions during summer when building base condition for the season. That's just pure evil. Hope another Che Guevara will rise against the powers that be. Oh, and sack Pellegrini for putting our players under this sort of risk. I mean someone could well die.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?
