United are leaking Mata as part of the Rooney deal so Barca take him and Fabregas is surplus to Barca. So an Everton official told one of my mates.

I also think that is the most likely outcome tbh.

My take on this remains ... if anyone of the cunts (Ronaldo, Bale, Suarez etc) or not so cunt (Fabregas etc) is to move to England or to Manchester, they'd better be moving to us than the scum ... needless of whether we need them or not ... we can always ship out whoever moves down the pecking order (like Nasri, Garcia etc.) ...

Fabregas is surplus? What, to requirements?

I find that extremely hard to believe

He's better than Nasri, Rodwell, Garcia by far - we cant rely on the Arse to dip into thier pockets and make use of thier clause.

So why didn't they just say he is not for sale. End of story.

I think they want to sell.

That's what I've spent the last two weeks telling lazy rags who claim he is not being played which I really don't understand where this came from. FFS, he has played 48 games in each of the last two seasons, scored 30 goals and a similar number of assists.

Why anybody would want to sell a 25/26 year old player like that is beyond me.

It was also rumored around the time of the sale from Arsenal that not only did Arsenal get a first refusal clause, but they also negotiated a 50% sell on fee, which Barca were happy with assuming he would have a long career with his home town club.

For them to sell Fabregas for anything less than £50m to a club other than Arsenal is financial idiocy if any of that is true, especially having sold Thiago.

The story really mystifies me, and I very strongly suspect that United are doing this for publicity, it's happening all to regularly now, Hazard, Sneijder, Modric, Silva to name a few over the last few years.

This saga, like Rooney, will continue ... they won't sell till the new manager is in and then another week or two for the new man to really figure out his plans ...

As for Fabregas, individually it makes a lot of sense to stay on ... he can potentially play on for next 5-7 years there and will eventually be replacing their midfield magicians and will go on to become a Barca legend ...

Arsenal won't pay to buy him back, him going to the scum will piss off Barca as well as Arse fans so logic would dictate, that he will be staying put ... but then again logic wouldn't have seen Falcalo to Monaco or Cavani to PSG so who knows ...

Still, I'd rather us than them ... this shift also needs to occur over here ... big players choosing us over the rags and that'd hurt them even more.

“We can assure you that we won’t listen to any offers for Cesc. It is not an option. Cesc is non-transferable,” Bartomeu said.

The vice president's words follow on from those of coach Tito Vilanova, who claimed Fabregas wants to stay at the Camp Nou earlier this week.

He has not convinced the club or fans he is not going to displace the two heroes of his, in fact he is facing the same fate as SANCHEZ. and more often or not he is used as a second striker or squeezed out after 60 mins. I have not seen I might have missed it Barca saying he is staying ,I have seen he wants to stay, The rags must be getting encouragment from someone.

I don't understand why he'd leave with Xavi's games played to keep decreasing and his eventual retirement coming.

The Sanchez comparison is a little off base since Sanchez is a winger and Pedro and Neymar have established themselves in the "wide" positions. Fabregas, on the other hand, is in line to take over for Xavi alongside Iniesta in midfield.

That's just how I see it

If Fabregas doesn't get a shift on & ask for a move, he is in danger of missing out on his boyhood dream to play for Manchster Utd.

The Express is reporting that Barcelona's 'fuck off you rag bastards' is actually a "rebuff".
