Really pleased to see Lescott settling to the task now.Maybe the price tag and the expectation was a bit much for him at the start. He is basically a quiet guy who just wants to get on with the job and he doesnt seek the limelight. That showed in the way he plays. In the last 2 or 3 weeks I think we have seen him become more dominant and more outgoing.

It has come through in training as well. He has definitely been more vocal and to me it reflects that he has settled in his new team and surroundings.

Thats good to hear. He's really starting to look more like the giant he was at Everton.

He is one of many underrated players this season. He's done well. So has Toure, De Jong, Barry and Bridge.

Lescott has been top recently. Don't want him to get player of the month from City though because the last ones have done fuck all since. (Petrov - injured, Bellamy, few shit games)

He's certainly improving, and if he keeps it up I can see him being England's first choice left-sided CB at the World Cup
Its noticeable that his improvement has coincided with Bridge being less cavalier in his attacking forays, and being more aware of his defensive responsibilities

Lescott certainly has raised his game of late. He now looks like he's concentrating on what hes good at and not worrying about the fee which he had no control over.

Looks more commanding in the air, and assured when the balls on the deck, and pleasingly he puts the ball in the back of the stand when it needs to go there as well.

A vast improvement and long may it continue, as with him being left-footed it just gives so much natural balance to the back line.

I wonder whether he moves to left or whether Barry plays there IF Bridge's injury was knee ligament as it seemed to me. That would rule him out for remainder of the season.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

They are talking two weeks out on SSN this morning. Interesting selection dilemma for a couple of games.

Glad he's finally linking with Toure although I still think Toure is the better of the two I think the pairing is amazing and cannot wait for the bond to get even better.

I don't think Lescott should be moved to LB while Bridge's out, he's being immense as CB right now so I say he stays there, we should play Barry as LB, or Sylvinho (maybe it would be wise to get a backup in January for that position though, eh? A young, on-the-up LB would be nice, Bale didn't look too bad against the rags in the Carling Cup this week and I've heard good things about him but I don't know a lot more about him)
