I accept how old he is, but I don't know whether its a lack of a dominate person in the back four telling him to get his ar@e back or the fact that it is a position we do need to strengthen - time is on his side he can come back and learn, or if not it isn't as if he (or any of the others) are irreplaceable
Sorry to say that is also what I saw - and even though it was his best game for ages it only confirmed for me how much we need a new RB - There is a clear example on the highlights clip - 9mins in - or 54mins into the game - you will see Vela breaking - it might be due to a bad pass from Kolo - but just watch the way Micah ambles back
Also his passing is simply not good enough - it is generally square to Shaun on the line leaving Shaun to take the player(s) on - no intelligence to pass the ball into space for Shaun to run onto - do not want to be negative after such a great performance - but these are basic faults that I do not think will ever go away - and they are not new
But I agree -
Kolo should be giving him a rocket during the game and the coaches in training to get him out of this ambition to be the worlds best jogger he seems to have
Its interesting though that Lescott seemed to be the more vocal centre back on Tuesday - he gave Toure a rollicking a few times during the game.

I thought he played well on Wed, as well as he has for a while. Thing is, we've been here before with Micah and before he gets any praise from me, he needs to do it for 10/15 games.
I love him and am desperate for him to do well but he has regressed over the last 2/3 years. He needs to push on now, learn from his mistakes and cut out performances, such as the one we saw at the swamp earlier this season, out of his game.
The learning from his mistakes is the main one. I may be wrong but I get the impression that he is someone who musn't listen well?? How can a player play at the level he has for as long as he has, work with the managers he has and not improve and still be prone to such basic errors errors in term of positioning?

Surely if anyone needs the confidence boost of having the crowd on his side it's the players, not the fucking manager. Either that or shut the fuck up about both.
Agreed I been saying shit like this for ages... nice to see I'm not the only one noticing.

Both Richards and Bridge are poor, they get caught out of position far to easy, offer nothing going forward and this is exposing Toure and Lescott.
Need to repalce both if we are going to be a true Top 4 side.

I dont get all the critism of Bridge - it seemed to start when the papers were having a go at him suggesting Hughes was going to replace him. I've been happy with his performances this season so far on balance and his good performances have outweighed his not-so-good ones. I wasn't able to see the Arsenal match but he has looked solid in the previous matches that I've watched before it. I think he and Lescott are starting to show an understanding of each other.

I think we are seeing Micah come back and it would be great to see it too. I would prefer homegrown Micah to become one of the worlds best than buy somebody no matter how much money we have.

Centre half next week alongside Vinnie with Zabba at full back. Could be fun against fatsam's lot.

He's just concentrated on defending in the last 2 games and has been fine. When he keeps it simple he's solid. When he tries to do something he cant thats when he has problems.
He fannied around and lost the ball by the touchline tonight resulting in the big save of the night from Shay. He wont be doing that again.
