Ades play against Arse & Teamwork

Dunno if a lot noticed in the game as it may not have been shown on TV but he was constantly marked out of the game the entire time and did well to ever get onto the ball when he did. He had at least 2 defenders on him at all times which I guess was due to either the fact he was a lone striker or the fact they really didn't want him to score after last time. The clever thing though Ade did I thought was he was constantly pulling defenders away from the wings and into the centre leaving Shauny especially open for a lot of the game. Thats why a lot of great balls were fed through him all night and we did so well. I as praising Ade after the match myself for his off the ball play as I was constantly watching him leading defenders away from Shaun before the ball was then lobbed onto the wing.

I think this is a sign finally our team are starting to read each other well and and itmakes me excited about things to come. A lot of people thought Shaun had an excellent match on Wednesday but I also think Ade did off the ball too. Of course Bellamy helped out too keeping the left wing congested with his runs not to mention Tevez and his runs down the middle. They were all keeping the defence so busy nobody noticed Shaun all night stood on the right wing. I noticed him quite a lot on the wing just stood there with nobody anywhere near him marking waiting for the perfect pass.

I noticed this, too. Ade's play (or their reaction to it) allowed us to be far more effective down the wings than normal.

I just hope its gonna be an ongoing thing and not just a show and extra effort for arsenal.

Come on ade, and everyone really, play like that every week and we will go far!

It's a part of his game that often gets misunderstood - he's been doing it a lot this season - when he is being heavily marked as the major threat he will drift out wide or deeper and either drag his markers out of position (if they follow him) or will find a little room to operate. At the very least it gives the defense something extra to think about and usually creates a situation for Ade's team mates.

This is what I thought I hope other teams are as easily pulled around like puppets so to speak lol. Arsenal really made a point of marking him because of who he is but no doubt Chelsea are not gonna leave him unmarked tomorrow.
