Watching From The Third Tier

Got moved for last night's game cos of the extra allocation to The Arse. I didn't realise til a few days ago, but I was on the top tier.
How do people put up with that?
Great view i should say. But we reached our first semi in donkey's years and nobody seemed to give a shit. Me and Our Stu were going nuts, and were dancing about for the last ten, but it seemed that we were merely an amusing sideshow to the rest.

Edit: And it will mean that I've tried all three tiers. Always look on the bright side!

We went up in the third tier of East Stand and I think Colin Bell stand as well last year, have to say the view is amazing, but the atmosphere was as dull as dish water. I like to sing my head off and shout the lads but the looks of digust I got really fucked me off. At one point I was shouting for others to sing and raise the tempo but I got nowhere.

Just do wat me and piccs did. I was stood on my seat for the last 10 minutes I didn't care if the people behind could see just as long as I was doin my bit for the cause. Danced out the ground the back to the train station. Loved it.

You pay your money and you make your choice between a great view of the game, and a poor atmosphere. Mind you atmosphere is always poor for Cup games as the City fans get moved all over, and we lose the South Stand

Eh, I'm in the third tier Colin Bell, right next to the South Stand, front row (moved 2 seasons ago cos I started taking the kids) and I have no problems at all. I sing my head off from start to finish and most people around me join in, however there are the odd ones but it's easy to ignore them.

Cup games are different though, lots of day trippers and most probably non-City fans, and I'd suggest mostly in the East Stand.

To be fair to the 3rd tiers here, it's really only the South Stand lower and that tiny corner of the East Stand that do any singing during most games ie. the fans on either side of the away supporters. I managed to get myself in that East Stand corner last night and the atmosphere seemed good, mainly because I was surrounded by fellow South Standers who'd also been moved! ;-)

not surprising as it was still a quid for kids wasn't it? As for moving loyal fans to third tier I think its a joke especially if it was your season ticket seat. How did they get allocated so much anyways?? We sold out our allocation quite easily so I don't get why they had such a big allocation to begin with. Also thanks to them being a bunch of bell end supporters last time with the whole Ade incident they had to close off a shit load of seats to stop any fighting.

Second tier is the one for me every time! But i will have to try the 3rd tier one day. The feed back i have got from my mates from being up there isnt very good but hey. If you can see city from up there then i guess you alright!

That's pretty crap is it calculated by percentage though? As some of the smaller grounds otherwise would have half away/half home otherwise.

On the flip side if that,I'm not third tier but whilst I'm sure there are lots of salt of the earth fans in the south stand but unfortunately for me the idiots that have moved near to us for the last two cup games (different ones for each game) are definitely short on brain cells, I've never heard so much utter crap talked (in loud whiney voices) in my life, I'd honestly prefer no atmosphere at all to having to listen to that. So I'm not buying this South Stand is where to be stuff, I reckon it is just as likely you'll be next to a nob as any other part of the ground.

Oh and I'm not sure about standing on your seat not caring about the people behind you either, that smacks of I'm a better fan than you so I deserve to be able to do what I want which IMHO is a shit attitude to have towards fellow blues.

First time I was at Eastlands in 2004 I had to be on the 2nd highest row. With my eagle eyes it was a rather nice view even from there, but the atmos wasn't anything special. It wasn't better or worse though than in the 2nd tier when I was there. 1st tier has been the best so far imo - atmoswise.

Got moved to west stand lower near the north stand. I had a right mix of people around me. To my right I had kids waving flags attempting to poke my eyes out. In front was the flat cap, Bovril brigade(all wearing matching hat, scalf and gloves) . Then behind me I had three blokes singing Munich songs.

Only been up there once, good view, but fuck all else, was full of people who seem to think that Benjani is Adebayor (Scunnie game, everone was like "Yessss, here comes adebayor" only for benji to enter the fray! Tools!!!

Really really quiet, if you stand up for more than a few seconds you get some twunt behind shouting sit down!!!!
