If they lose, they don't really care about it anyway and are after bigger and better things. I actually think he might make the mistake of playing some kids/second choices in the first leg. Then if we win he will field their best XI in the second leg, but if he does field some kids/reserves in the first leg and we destroy them the second leg will become a formality.

with the first leg at coms he might well play his so called kids, he can just about get away with doing that
away from home, but i doubt he would do it at home if the first leg was there with 70 odd thousand there.

He will play his strongest possible team for both games that's a fact. My hope for the first leg is that Leeds beat Kettering, and the Whites kick them off the park in the FA Cup the Saturday before, thus giving us a slight advantage.

I rate he will play a mixture of kids and first teamers in the first leg at Eastlands and if we beat them he will play his first team in the second leg.

It would be a big about turn he would have to make to play his full first choice team. As he has already said that we are a small club, a noisy neighbour, I'm not sure he is capable of backing down.

The truth is, Taggart is in a win-win situation here. If he plays the kids at ours and we tonk them like the Arse, then he carries on the same at home without losing face. If he get's a draw or result, then he can then decide to play a few more of the first team (or bring them off the bench) in a bid for more silverware.

He has said that they will stick with the youth, but whichever way it goes, as long as we are prepared either way, I don't mind.
