Tevez

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Tevez

You all know I'm a Tevez fanatic, but by God what a player. He is everything I want in a player.

Why did he have to be such a cunt?? He could have been arguably the biggest city icon ever.

It will always pain me.

But anyone who thinks his off field shit isn't worth it really needs to give their head a wobble because that is a serious hole to fill when he goes.

Completely agree.
Different class on that pitch today. I would be tempted to let him run his contract down just so we can keep for another season.

I agree as well, he is an impossible player to replace.

As much as I don't like his attitude off the pitch(although not so much recently), he is so amazing on the pitch it's hard not to forgive.

He'd be a shit keeper. Too short ;-)

He is our most important player and we must keep him. We don't need to money, so worst case just wind his contract down and hope he behaves.

He was excellent today - worked so hard up front. You really notice how great he is compared to Dzeko who was nothing short of pathetic today.

We have to keep Tevez if he wants to stay. Worst case, we keep him for next season and he leaves when his contract ends. But by no means should he be off this summer.

We simply have to keep him.
We are nowhere near the stage where we can afford to replace him because we have depth and quality.

In my opinion we already need 1, maybe 2 quality attacking, defensive midfielders at the end of this season,1 maybe 2 top quality strikers to replace Dzeko who i don't think suits our system and Ballotelli. That is with out replacing Tevez.

If he does go, I can see us going for both Cavani and Falcou.
That would be three world class strikers at the club.

I have a sneaky feeling we're going to end up with Suarez. I hope I'm wrong, but if Carlos leaves then that's where my money is.

Dzkeo simply can't even hold onto a ball let alone dribble it without it bouncing off him or him losing it, abit like Shrek.

Tevez is great, I never held the Dortmund game against him although I wanted his head for what he did afterwards.

As I said in another thread: if he likes it here and has gotten his shit together, get his contract prolonged for at least two more years. What a player.
"I used to be 6 foot 2 with curly hair, look what it's done to me"

"In my career so far it's the most important goal. You score the goal in the last minute to win the title. You're not sure if that's ever going to happen in your career again. I wish I could tell you how I did it but I can't. I thought for all the world that Mario was going to have a go himself but he just moved it on one more and it fell at my feet and I just thought: 'Hit the target, hit it as hard as you can and hit the target.' And it went in."

Excellent yet again today and the best city player on the pitch as he was against Wigan on Wednesday night. A few weeks ago I was of the opinion that we should let him go in the summer but I've had a complete turn around of opinion. We need to keep hold of players like him

It's a no brainer to offer him a new deal but i just don't know if i could be confident of him signing an extension.

I thought that as well. The Munich game had nothing compared to the Wolfsburg one ;-)
