This Weekends Other Games - Including FA Cup

Postby Beefymcfc » Sat Mar 09, 2013 12:57 pm

I see they've gone with all Premier League ties for terrestial TV purposes in the FA Cup.

So much for the 'Dream of the FA Cup'!

At least Wigan are showing Everton how to do it.

This is a huge surprise for me. Didn't see this coming!

I do have a feeling though that Everton will put up a big fight in the 2nd half but it won't be enough. 2-4 I say

When Wigan get it right they can really play and when Everton get it wrong they are very ordinary.I guess both at the same time can bring 3 nil at half time. Bad mistake from Neville for the 2nd but Wigan have been by far the better side even goals apart.

Neville off for that other ex red bum and we should see a good 2nd half.

That half was pure City from years gone by. You can taste the hysterics of the occasion coming from the stands & the players are just not good enough to play when the expectation is on them. If they were expected to lose, they would be all over Wigan. Instead, they have to cope with the fear of success.

We used to see it with Dunne (& Distin) etc all the time in these situations. We were better when we had no chance than we were when we had a chance. Like old City, a goal from Everton could drastically change the look of this game & put them in their underdog comfort zone.

What's going on! Everton have been their usual dirty bully boy selves and Wigan have shown them how to play football. Some great finishes and Everton ripped apart in 4 minutes.

Quite enjoying this game now and it should be a good show 2nd half. Can see Neville being subbed and probably an Everton player being sent off.

Let's do our business against Barnsley and we could be up against Wigan, Milwall or Blackburn in the semi. Saying that, I can see us up against the Rags.

I'm sure I heard them singing Rag songs!

I wonder if they'd sell out their allocation if they do win this game?

One of the players will be offered a year's supply of pies if he scores in the Semi. It will be on local tv next week.

No.

More tickets for us then.

If they win, we win and get drawn against each other.
