We're talking serious global businessmen here, not altruistic philanthropists... I know that the argument will be that "it's the inevitable way football has gone", but two things really bug me about that. The fact that people have been so readily accepting (and in some cases openly embracing) of this apparently incontrovertible fact.

And that it simply isn't true, and doesn't have to be this way.

How much are tickets for the last home game of the season? Anyone know?

No they bought us to raise their profile back home and I'm sure in part for the sheik to own a football club.

Neither of those require robbing us blind.

FFP might tho.

the end result is exactly the same either way - and you're happy with that?

your support means nothing to the management of our club - your money means a lot.

Fuck the Sheikh, let's get back to where we were.

and that's precisely how they get away with it.

Who, get away with what?

Can I ask where you sit mate as my SC has hardly budged since the takeover. Are you in the 2nd tier by any chance?

No mate, i gave up my ST years ago as I never know until the last minute whether I can go or not due to work. I'm fortunate enough that I could afford the prices at the moment, I'm talking about the principles involved.

Bit similar to me mate but at least I get the chance to get certain seasons in so retain my ticket. Looking at it though, the survey earlier in the season showed us to be in the bottom third of ticket pricing, miles off the likes of United, Arsenal etc. My ST is priced at around £465 which equates to about £26 per game. That's fantastic value for money if you ask me.

We will see prices rise but over the last 5 years they've been very minimal and I can't see my ticket, for example, rising to anywhere near the likes of what we see in the league at the moment. Where we will grow is in the commercial market which again will offset ticket prices. Our owners are well aware of the demographics of the City support and I can't see them trying to price us out just to get the extra coin, unlike Arsenal.

I'm not worried about any of the schemes being introduced, nothing will really change. What has changed is the whole concept of the club going forward and I for one am very happy to go along with what is now a club with huge ambition.
In the words of my Old Man, "Life will never be the same without Man City, so get it in while you can".

No one is happy with it but the fact is that the biggest effect of FFP was always going to be increased ticket prices. Compared to other new owners ours so far he definitely been trying to keep prices low and get sponsorship instead.
You have obviously given this a great deal of thought, so considering our match day revenue is much smaller than our rivals, how would you compete in the new FFP world without raising ticket prices?

Thats why some people appear bright until they open their mouth.

Honestly? Introduce REAL FFP rules, that are meaningful, such as involving true debt levels, along with increased supporter representation at board level, and fair distribution of tv income etc. and loads more that I can't type on my phone... :)
