Well that was a good and long read. It finished around 2 am in Dubai so I went straight to bed and missed all the fun on this thread !
I can't add anything that has not already been said, but I want to say, how good was Modric when he came on. He single handedly
changed the match not to mention the fantastic goal he scored. They say he's not settled and might be leaving Real (I don't know after last night ?)but if he is available, I say get him now.

One thing I've noticed over the past 6 months or so, whenever they've been on the telly is that the player closest to the referee ALWAYS (I mean 95-99% of the time) appears to be a Rag. I don't know whether this is an optical illusion, coincidence, or something that they are trained to do, but I'd be interested in seeing statistics on players' movement in relation to the ref, if there is any way to obtain and analyse them...

Camel gob clapping in the refs face was hardly Drogba after the Barca game. A game or two ban would be nice though if he's not playing in America next year ha ha ha

Completely.

Never seen a player try to underperform to such a degree whilst still trying to justify 250k a week.

Him and jose to the swamp. It stank of it. The whole sorry display

I'm amused to think UEFA might extend Nansi's ban for dangerous play but can't see it myself. If it did happen it would send Lord Plonk into a death spin - one hopes.

On a more likely note is a fine for him being too artless/spineless and probably coherent enough to give a post match interview. Thankfully the commercial tv stations don't give a tinkker's cuss about his hissy fits and will demand their pound of flesh.

I can't see why wobbly gob got off for clapping in the refs face or on the more serious charge of being a first class c**t and born again Gary Nipple

Here's the BBC summary of it all anyway: http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/21691929

couldn't help but notice that he scored the decisive goal. Can't even cheat right
Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.

He certainly did score a goal. It turned out to be the decisive goal. His performance was ridiculously below par though.

One of his worst performances in recent times.
