Wait til we go to White Hart lane and he rapes our defence. Then everyone will say we should buy him.

I think Madrid will want Bale to replace Ronaldo, who will return to the rags as Nani leaves.

We will be looking to spend big money on a new striker to replace Balo and Dzeko, (Cavani?).

Bale was terrific last night and would strengthen any team but I cant see him coming to us.

Pretty much plays wherever he wants after all he was playing leftback when he first got to spuds wasn't he?

Yep, random fact in 2009-2010 he played 24 games for them without one win.

sure he'd improve us. but so would a lot of players. for the price we'd pay for this circus animal, we could pick up isco AND have money left over for a quality winger (nevas would be my pick).

I've seen it mentioned a few times now... Ronaldo will go back to the rags etc.

He is a better player now than when he left and the broke cunts are paying installments for rvp.

Are madrid going to entertain a bid like that? Not fucking likely.

Also, we're 12/1 to be Bale's next club. Rags are 5/1. So they have the money for 50m on one player now do they? Or are they getting both players maybe?

Fuck off.

They could maybe get some kind of sponsorship deal to pay for Ronaldo (as we would possibly do) but not Bale.

I dunno, perhaps Fyffes or even KP might be interested in sponsoring Bale to play for us.

Yes. Winger who's scored 15 league goals already this season- many of them scorchers. Far and away better than anything we have!

He doesn't score them from the wing though, does he? The reason he's doing so well atm is because Spuds entire offensive play is built around him imo. He seems to be given a completely free role by AVB, especially against weaker teams, can we afford to play with another one of those alongside Yaya and Silva or do we put one of them on the bench?

He has amazing individual ability I agree but right now that crazy, from-another-planet form he's in right now is a lot down to getting all the space and freedom he wants from his manager, I doubt he would be allowed to do the same for us (or Madrid)

What about last season when he had Modric and VdV in the side? He wasn't the centrepiece then and scored plenty. I remember plenty being from the left wing as well.

I agree mostly, but

2012-2013 played 24, scored 15
2011-2012 Played 36 scored 9

So would you say he was as good last season as he is this season? This is my point (I think), last season he was a very good player in a good team, this season he's a very good player in an average team, making him look world class and pushing his value through the roof. If we were to get him this season we would have to pay silly, transfer-record, money and, imo, we would get the Gareth Bale of last season. Just not convinced he's worth that, even if we could do with someone who can shoot from long-range, we are really wank at that

It's quite possible that his stats have gotten better cos he's simply gotten better, and he's found his natural position. He's good enough to play a big role in an interchanging forward line alongside the likes of Yaya/Silva/Aguero...we'd be fools to not be in for him.

I don't care where he scores them from. He's scored 15 league goals already, more than anyone on our team has - which considering he's not a striker is bloody impressive. He's exactly what we need, pace, strength, great delivery, great set piece taker and a genuine goal threat from both range and in the box.

Genuinely think anyone who doesn't want him is mad. We have no player like him. We can't let rags beat us to him.
And against packed defences, his ability to smash one in from range will prove invaluable

Rags are favourites for Tranny @ 3/1, we are 8/1.
IMO no way he will come to us.

As I said above Bale to Real, to replace Tranny, he's currently evens, (Bale is 5/1 to rags and 12/1 to us!)
