I've just spent another 90 mins studying Javi Martinez.

He made a nice run 1st half & could have scored, passed once to Robben in an offside position. On 70 mins he made an interception & had a decent distance shot saved on about 71.

For the rest of the game, he was Jo hey Bartonez, including a crimially late airbourne challenge which would have been red carded over here, wheezing, hung over type lack of movement (on one occasion Dortmund broke, went past him, the defenders tackled the Dortmund player & the ball broke to JM who had just made it back past halfway, & he lost the fucking ball !!

Garcia is a better player than this bloke by some margin, but why were we so desperate to sign somebody that fucking slow & lacking in fitness ? It's not as if he was any different for Bilbao; he was on his fucking knees in some games.
