The goals he scores are just absolutely ridiculous. Christiano Ronaldo , eat your heart out.

I do agree if we are going to spend around 40-50m on one player, Bale would be my choice.

Bale will go to the rags or Madrid. I'd rather City try a cheeky big bid for Jack Wilshere, though it'd mean pissing off an Arsenal fan and decent bloke I work with

when the bus is parked, his pace won't help at all, the bus gets deeply parked in and around the 18 yard line. how can pace help there? There is no way through.

He dives a lot and gets booked for it , he'd get slaughtered by the media if he did such tricks wearing a City shirt.

If he can do it ( not dives !) week in week out, he might be worth a pop at about 18 mill

Yes. Winger who's scored 15 league goals already this season- many of them scorchers. Far and away better than anything we have!

He doesn't score them from the wing though, does he? The reason he's doing so well atm is because Spuds entire offensive play is built around him imo. He seems to be given a completely free role by AVB, especially against weaker teams, can we afford to play with another one of those alongside Yaya and Silva or do we put one of them on the bench?

He has amazing individual ability I agree but right now that crazy, from-another-planet form he's in right now is a lot down to getting all the space and freedom he wants from his manager, I doubt he would be allowed to do the same for us (or Madrid)

He is one tabloid wankfest too much for my liking . Planet of the spuds extra needs to stay well away from us.

Planet of the Apes?

I think he offers us something completely different to what we have. Pace, set pieces and long range goals.

Ronaldo is the best in the world at these attributes and comparing the two in a cunt-off is a no brainer. Bale all the way.

If he came, I wouldn't see a major problem with silva on the left and him towards the right, with the two switching it up as needed. If toure doesn't want to up his workrate to take another role then I'd have no problem benching him for bale.

When he played well two seasons ago he was the next Messi then nothing for a year. Now he's the new Ronaldo. His second was an amazing finish following an embaressing dive/quick get up. That said he would add a new dimension to our team, and we are certainly in need of that.

What about last season when he had Modric and VdV in the side? He wasn't the centrepiece then and scored plenty. I remember plenty being from the left wing as well.

Excellent call.

It would be nice to see him playing alongside Rodwell.

We would be clear above the rags now if Bale was a City player.

I'm not sure we would have got out of the Chumps League group but it would have allowed us to play 1 up front & pack the midfield so it could make a difference.

We have never replaced Bellamy as far as counter attacking goes & Bale would give us that kind of option, particularly in Europe.
