Where does Tevez come on the list for chances wasted and loss of possession? His powers are definitely on the wane and to those that believe he could play midfield, I'm sorry he just hasn't got the discipline for it.

Tevez gave us far more as a player. And if you're gonna throw names from the early days, lets see their goals to game ratio, along with honours won.

You're wrong.

How do you know he gave us far more? Were you present in 1929? Sit next to John?

The "compare honours won" argument sounds like something a rag would say.

However, first season he was amazing, second season he was good, third he buggered off to Argentina and this one he has been used on and off and has, at best, been okay. If you think the "greatest ever" City striker can be replaced by a player having 3 good seasons, then you keep on thinking that, shows EXACTLY the level of respect you have for everyone who came before the money.

Yeah that's right, I have no respect for players that came before the money. Cop on.

Goals to games ratio. That might help.

And btw, were you sat there watching these players? Then pipe down.

You're the one who said no respect.

If you honestly believe that two good seasons makes him our greatest ever striker, what do you think of the 30 players who have scored more than him for City or the 5 or so who have scored more than him AND have a better goals/game ratio as you believe that's the be all and end all?

And BTW, you were the one who said "carlos tevez offered more" than these players, not me...so unless YOU were there, I think it's YOU who should pipe down.

Totally unrelated from the OD-Slim quarrel...

Did anyone else notice how much better Aguero started playing when Tevez came on? All of a sudden he started doing just the right runs and seemed to put in more effort. It's strange, but that's how I saw it.

May be simply a case of Aguero having more space to play in as Tevez occupied their defence?

I didn't see it but then again I don't see the so called Latino conspiracy either. I think he made some proper stop before as well. I guess it depends on how you define right runs and right efforts. More effort I mean.

I think he's arguably our greatest ever. I think while he's been at city, he's been one of the best strikers in the world.

I think most people would agree with that. I think he has contributed enormously to our recent success as a club.

Of course it's important to align players to what level we both competed at and succeeded at.

This is one of the highest levels our club has ever been at. That's a fact. He's one of the best. That's a fact.

No piping down from me. Neither of us were there all that time ago, so I'll put his contribution, goals to games ratio and honours he helped the club achieve into one package against any of those you mention.

And again Ill say he is one of the greatest, if not the greatest we have had.

A cunt all the same for fucking off but a great player.

That definitely was the case. They do love playing together.

Saying that, aguero saw lots of the ball throughout the game, he just tended to fuck up each time he touched it and I said as much in the match thread.

I said whilst aguero is having a mare, I wouldn't take him off. I'd bring tevez on to help him because he was our only outlet and needed more help imo.

Could you imagine how defences would feel if you had Tevez, Augero and Suarez (the Liverpool one) harrassing them - I have a sneaking feeling that we may see this.

It would be frightening.

But Mancini doesn't like playing tevez and aguero together. That is pretty evident. I don't get it because the amount of goals and assists they have when paired together is top notch.

I still believe if tevez had have started the derby we'd have won. And this season could have been very different.

Has that partnership not been Mancini's preferred one since Tevez' return from his sabbatical?

I may be wrong but it has seemed that way to me.

I actually thought we looked better with Rodwell than with Tevez, because Rodwell was making late runs & providing an option for a cross, but then Tevez rocketed a great goal in.

Interesting watching Tevez at one point when he was playing centrally, he just stood still on one spot & was looking at various things happening as if he thought there was something wrong with the shape & wanted to shout 'no you're supposed to be there doing 'x' & you're supposed to be there, doing 'y' etc' but it seemed pretty clear he'd been told to stay & occupy that area & not move when we lost the ball, whilst others chased, rather than do his usuall dog chasing a cyclist bit.

Seems Bob/Plunty must be thinking we are neglecting the central striking area at times & tried some kind of experiment for a short while. When he was moved from there, he ran about as normal. Strange. Interesting to watch & see if it happens again in the future.

Perhaps that's what they were telling Dzeko & Balotelli to do in most games ? (that was a joke by the way).

I noticed that on a couple of occasions Ted, you reckon that was under instruction? I thought he was just being a lazy cunt. At one stage he stood on the centre spot with Cahill and Luiz no more than five yards away from him, left and right, he watched as Cahill played the ball to Luiz and then made a half-arsed token effort to tackle Luiz when he took the ball by him.

Maybe it was under instruction but bizarre if so.

Definitely not laziness, it's not in his nature. He was also looking more at our players than theirs, as if he'd been told to check the shape of the team & looked preoccupied with something he'd seen. Very unusual. Shortly afterwards he was chasing around as normal.

I'll never forget a few years back Tevez chasing so hard he tripped and tried to block a clearance from a defender with his face lol. Anyone remember that?

I think Tevez is being punished for some halfhearted training personally, the guy doesn't seem to want to know unless it's a match. I was able to watch him 'warming up' pre-game a while back and while Zabs and Milner were religiously doing their routines Tevez was standing around gazing at the stadium, the sky, his feet, the grass, anything other than actually warming up.
