What has happened to Tevez?

Postby paulmclaren » Sun Feb 24, 2013 3:13 pm

This season he has been nothing short of fucking awful.
Maybe his last season with city seeing how his contract is up but he has been very pooor this season, last either a yard of pace or simply not interested.
Thoughts?

His contract is up at the end of next season, but I think he's gone this season and has already checked out.

He seems to have lost his tenacity. And like Aguerro he's been poor infront of goal this year.

With some things like when i say or other people say they are 'not interested, some players just simply 'loose there touch' or the key attribute that made them the player they were before they went 'shite'.
Does anyone agree with that?

I don't think he's been any more shit than aguero has. In fact, I think he's been responsible for the same amount of goals with far less playing time.

Anyway, the two should have started together.

It's fucking ridiculous that Mancini can't see this.

Oh, and if that's "awful", I'd take an awful tevez over most players on the pitch. His mere presence opens opposition defences.

He's probably gone in the summer, but he's one of the greatest strikers we've ever had. Maybe the greatest.

Ummm, no.

Who better? The number of games Tevez single handedly carried us is astonishing.

Tevez is still as industrious as ever but our strikers seem to have been afflicted with some sort of goal issue. Nice strike today though, especially as he's in my FFT ;-)

I just can't agree that he has been shite. Not at his best but not that bad at all.Why does it have to be shite or brilliant and world class?

I would definitely want Tevez with us next season if not as first choice as long as he is ok with that and gives his all.Still a good worker, still capable of special moments ( we just saw one)and still a real threat in the way we play our game.

Pretty much yeah. But he's losing his speed. It was always a big part of his game.

Tommy Johnson.

Most league goals for the club(tied with Eric Brook), most league goals in a single season.

Prove me fucking wrong.

Thought he was pretty good today. He's not been as good as in previous seasons but who has? Thought Aguero was worse today. Strange thread.
