chatting shit.

the fucking reason we don't have a team full of world class players isn't Hughes or anybodys fault. do you really think we didn't make bids for top top players? clubs don't want to sell, and if we get past that problem, the players we crave don't want to come.

fact is, we have the squad capable of pushing top 4 all the way to the last game for that spot. Hughes isn't getting them playing. big problem. its his tactics that let him down, not his transfers.

Well when i watch city i feel these players the ones who got huge lumps of cash play when they feel like playing. I dont think there heart is in it. You could say that for alot of the players but for me they just dont seem hungry. Maybe barry is tired and needs a rest, maybe ade is being played wrong as a lone front man.

but when we play the big teams the attacking side seem to shine but games against mediocore oposition they seem to fade. Just smells like typical city. Im hardly ever negative about city but last draw against hull got me down.

100% agree
this is the best squad we have EVER had and could arguably be better than any of the sky 4 but the manager can not get the team to play.

Well said Bingo. Hughes knew we needed John Terry and that's why we went for him so hard, against all odds, and nearly got there! How much different would our resluts be if we had got him? Lots. It's all about improving the quality with the best we can get which, until we do step up a level or 2, includes Toure and Bridge (who also had a good game).

At the very least we should get in a position this season, on and off the field, where we are more attarctive to the very top quality players.

Lescott had a good game, so why is he ranted at in the OP?

It's not all about buying a player who then goes out on the field and plays like a world-beater every minute of every game, it's about gradually (as much as we can at the time) raising the all-round quality, bit by bit. We cant buy people who wont come yet.
