Wiess -He's either in or out

Time to give this talented lad a chance ! Wenger would not hesitate if he was a Gooner and good enough. If not the boy will end up abroad possiblty in the Bundersleague I rate him having seen him play quite a bit ....come on City give him a run and leave SWP out WHO HAS GOT THE BOTTLE ? I duobt we will see him at all this week....very sad for the boy.

How old is he? We are definately not Arsenal, and for me, I wouldn't give him a run out until we are 3 up in a game. Yes, he is talented but would you risk him against the likes of Chelsea. Arsenal 'Coming of Age' maybe, but even then I would prefer the old and bold until the game is won.

I'm disappointed he's not been given more game time this year. From the glimpses ive seen of him, he looks to have the potential to be one of our greatest ever academy products and the way he effortlessly stepped up to international level and dominated games for Slovakia is some achievement. Not many at his age make the leap look so effortless. Given SWP's inconsistent form this year im surprised he's not played more.

He IS abroad.
and he is getting some exposure and MAY feature on Wednesday. If he doesn't i don't think even he will think it's the end of the world

I think he deserves more chances than he's getting I mean even 10 minutes in a game wouldn't be a bad thing? But instead we are wasting subs on RSC or just not using them.

I'm not so sure, dont think he has been ready until this season. It might have been worse for his career if he had played too many , too soon. Not had the physique of some players mentioned., maybe a late developer.

He's a great talent but it would be foolish to play him against Chelsea. They are a big strong team, they won most of the 50-50 balls against Arsenal and at times Arsenal's players were bouncing off the likes of Terry and Lampard. I think Hughes wanted to bring Weiss into a winning team, in both senses of the word - a team in winning form and a team that was three up in a game with 20 minutes to go. Earlier in the season City looked like being in that position, they're not now. I also think Weiss holds onto the ball too long and runs into trouble trying to beat one defender too many. But yes, he does have to be on the pitch before long or else he'll be off.

If the 1st team regulars ain't performing why should he waste away on the bench with all that fuckin skill hes got.hope him and Johnno get a run in the gooners game Wed.I am not clutching at straws because of our current form but i believe they are good enough to strengthen the team..Heres hoping

I believe 100% that Vlad should have had more time on the pitch this season than he has. Maybe not starting but in plenty of games he could have been given a run out. It's about the manager being braver for me. He might be a top prem player and it MUST be with us.

He's looked excellent playing in internationals and couldn't do much more than he did when he had a few minutes against little Scunthorpe.

If he don't get the chance then we'll never know will we.

Do you think Hiddink would play Weiss more?

This lad looks like he's potentially the best to ever come out of our accademy and all the others (SWP, SWP2, Superman, Johnno, Ned, Jordan, Micah, Hart etc etc etc) were given a chance years before they got to Vlad's age.

Why not give him a chance mate?

Why's that? What's he done- played well against Northern Ireland, skinned a few 16 year olds alive in the youth cup? In my opinion Shaun is doing just fine, scoring and assisting goals. He's not the most composed player you'l ever see but he's productive and always chips away. I just don't understand the fascination with Weiss and why people think he's the new Pele/Maradonna/God.

I would give him a chance under the right circumstances, and now isn't the time in my view. I don't think he is the best I've seen from the academy for his age and the thing that puts me off him at this time is his size. He us truly gifted and can get away with a lot in an international team whilst playing for his dad, but the Prem players and Prem referees are a differnent kettle of fish who won't mind someone of his ilk getting ploughed down without a second thought (as the situation with Shaun/Walcott/Lennon as proved).

An introduction at his stature, yes. A start, not on your nelly! Just my opinion mate.

CTK and Beefy. I disagree with you both and also respect what you've said.

I don't think that if we play Vlad that he should be a direct replacement for SWP. They can play together IMO as they can both swap and interchange, the same way that Barnes & Tueart used to.

I also remember Tranaldo and quite a few other flair players being the same size as Vlad when they first hit the league. If you're good enough the you're big enough and that's always been the case. He'll fill out in time and until then, it would be a good education for him to take a few knocks just like all the other good players had to.

Give the lad a few games and let's see what he can do IMO.
