if that's what you're referring to then there's nothing wrong with it

'there was 44,000 city fans'. Could actually be correct if he was referring to us all as a singular body. But I suspect hit shoul dhave been 'there were'

Despite his grammatical error, everything else he said was dead right.

phips wrote:Some of you will probably enjoy this as it echoes what a lot of us on here have said:

Gary Neville says Samir Nasri "goes missing" in tough matches and cost Manchester City a point in Sunday's derby.

The Monday Night Football pundit faced the Frenchman during his playing days and while he acknowledges his skill levels he says he doesn't work hard enough, especially when the even more talented David Silva is in the side.

City Striker Mario Balotelli was substituted at half-time during Sunday's 3-2 defeat to Manchester United at the Etihad Stadium, but Neville felt the lacklustre Nasri was the weakest link in the team.

"There was another player on the pitch who could easily have been taken off before Mario Balotelli," Neville said.

"I think he goes missing in big games for City - and he's the only one - and that's Samir Nasri.

"For me, he doesn't put a shift in. When they play with David Silva and Nasri, you expect the brilliance of Silva and you need somebody more solid on the other side now.

"By the way, I played against Nasri three or four years ago at the Emirates Stadium and he pulled my pants down for 60 minutes and I got subbed because he absolutely battered me.

"This is a player you'll see when the 'ole's' are coming out, but when the going gets tough I'm not sure he fancies it that much."

Neville also said Nasri was at fault for Manchester United's winning goal, as replays clearly showed him ducking out of the way of Robin van Persie's free-kick as it sailed into the far corner.

It proved to be a hammer blow for City - the injury-time strike was scored only minutes after Pablo Zabaleta's had seemingly given the home side the initiative - and Neville said Nasri's lack of desire cost his side a precious point.

"It's difficult to describe," he added.

"Carlos Tevez was furious. You could see him arguing with Nasri and saying 'what's happening?' Why did he turn his back?

"Pablo Zabaleta had just scored and wanted to score that winner. There was 44,000 Manchester Cityfans in that stadium who would have taken one flush in the face. Pablo Zabaleta and nine of his team-mates would have taken it flush in the face - and then you've got Samri Nasri.

"The football match has been won by what Samir Nasri did in that wall. It really has cost his team.

"That was the difference on the day."

He is a fucking cunt. But unfortunately right on this one. Fucking hate to admit it though.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

I have never liked Nasri, he is the last man you want in a battle with you, an abs pansie, we won the title in spite of him last year, the wall thing didnt annoy me as much as how he fuckin slows down everytime he gets the ball instead of driving into the space, he did it on sunday but somehow fluked a half decent cross behind dzeko i think. He takes 3 4 5 6 touches while in that space of time other teams can get from one end of the pitch to the other(see rooneys 1st goal), he did against qpr on last game of season and it drove me mad, he shouldve cost us that game too but we got away with it. We will get fuck all for him too if we sell him unless he goes to PSG here is hoping.
derby day the scores were level,
then the goat was fed by neville,
silly boy should know for sure,
feed the goat and he will score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

thing is, he was a totally different player at arsenal. Watched a highlight clip of only his arsenal moments and I thought jesus christ this guy is class. Would buy arsenal's nasri 10/10 times ... would buy city's nasri 0/10 times.

He was a fucking brilliant player before Mancini got his hands on him and trained him not to do anything he is good at.

Give him the ball out wide and he can put a dangerous ball into the box for midgets like aguero and tevez or put it on Edin's head but Mancini would probably dock him a weeks pay if he crossed the ball instead of passing it sideways or back.

Half our players are made to play the way Mancini says football is played and most are fucking wasted because of it.

We cant blame the manager on this one, Nasri is far too inconsistent in his performances, does Mancini tell him to drift from the game, and only to perform now and again? I think not.
Nasri is not up to it, he just does not seem to care enough at times. I would rather see Milner given a run in the team for a while now.

Fuck off from City and never come back. The guy is a fraud. What a waste of money. What is it three good games in just over a year. He should be ashamed of himself.

Has there been a worse bit of transfer business in the history of football. He cost more than RVP this clown. He is bloody awful. I can stomach a player losing form but what I can't stomach is one not trying or even looking arsed about playing.

He bought him. I'd not seen anything at arsenal that made me think he was a £24m player. And he's gone backwards since then under Mancini.

very much think that nasri has to go, but I can't agree with not having seen anything at arsenal. He was fantastic in that season ... but just does not do it at city ... not even a little bit. Said it before, i would go in for arsenal's nasri 10/10 times, fantastic player. I would want city's nasri 0/10 times, utterly useless ... not even any shades of what he formerly could do.

I never thought he was the dogs' bollocks at Arsenal but I did think he'd be a useful player for our squad & I expected him to move up a level this season.

He's moved down two levels instead. Whether it's lack of confidence or can't be arsedness I don't know.

Hopefully Bob will get rid now he's seen enough.

was he not the leading assist man from crosses in the premier league the year before we bought him?

he looked like a close to top player to me on arsenal, from what i saw, but i will admit i didn't see most games.

i think it is either a motivation problem or perhaps he's not fully recovered from his earlier injury, which is one you can see lingering.

his energy level is not the same right now.

Had a spell of exeptional performances but either side of that, was exactly the same player we see now.

nasri: receive ball along sideline, advance 2 steps, turn back when defender approaches, pass sideways 5 yds and then immediately run straight upfield for a 1-2 that is never on. hide from ball for 20 min. repeat 5 times. profit!

its just baffling this guy. he did have his poor performances at Arsenal too but he was playing well for them, especially his final season there. since coming here he's put in 2 good performances and the rest have been awful with him looking disinterested and not bothered to do any real work on the pitch.

astonishing.

he needs to be out in the summer. its clear he came for the $, regardless of what he claims.
