Who are the top 10 most frequently injured players?....

Here is the place to talk about all things city and football!

Who are the top 10 most frequently injured players?....

Postby MARKMAKAVELI » Sun Nov 29, 2009 5:29 pm

...in the Premiership over the last 5 years or so?

I googled it but can't find the answer. I was just thinkin about how good Walcott is when I was tryin to sleep last night and how often he is injured. There are loads like him, a list would be nice.

He was on Soccer AM this week and although they call him sicknote, it was mentioned that he had played over 500 games in his professional career, which is a very good career stat for any top player.

What about our very own Nedum Onouha or the glass legged Martin Petrov?

So, there's a fair chance you're bullshitting then ;-)

Martin Laursen at Villa before he called it quits - they mush have paid him 3 years wages whilst he was sitting on his arse in the stand in true Jamie Redknapp style, Steven Reid's been injured for 3 years, Walcott and Van Persie are quite fragile, Kieron Dyer has it down to an art form, Chris Kirkland is made of glass, Michael Owen, Bojinov spent nearly 2 years out with us and Bellers isn't shy of the treatment room either.

Wasn't really five years ago though. Anderton always got loads of stick but actually played surpricingly many games. However one that stood out in 90's as worst sicknote had to be Jamie Redknapp.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

Never criticise a man until you've walked a mile in his shoes.
That way when you do criticise him you'll be a mile away.
And you'll have his shoes.
