You mean someone who the ball bounces off because he has no ball control.

Dubaimancityfan wrote:who at least tries

This is the myth of Coc Idea - he looks as though he is trying hard because he is always fighting for the ball. The reason he fights so hard for the ball is because he mis-controls it, the ball bounces away from him, and so he has to fight the defender to recover possession. I would prefer someone who can control the ball first time.

Dubaimancityfan wrote:and his presence alone frightens defenders.

No it doesn't. It never did. Another myth about "Big Phil"....

I fully 100% agree with you.

He has absolutely horrendous first touch. I really don't think he has it in him to become top Prem striker.
Sometimes we're good and sometimes we're bad but when we're good, at least we're much better than we used to be and when we are bad we're just as bad as we always used to be, so that's got to be good hasn't it?

You mean like Santa Cruz, right?

Boj at least showed potential and he's a young man and his best is still to be seen. He scored a couple of nice goals when he had the chance. I don't see anything from RSC that makes me believe that he will start banging them in soon. I'll be happy to be proven wrong as we are stuck with him for a while at least.
Big Phil scored 8 in 9 games and he was mostly a sub, hardly started any matches!! and still some on this forum think he is rubbish. Make sense of that !

Exactly mate but they won't fucking have it they like to spin what I say. What I meant was he probably would have scored a last minute goal for us this season he sure got a couple last season. Sure we didn't always win but at least he scored. You can't blame the fact we had a shite defence back then on him but hey they seem to be doing that as you notice they list the games we lost in where he played?? Like that's HIS fucking fault? Hes a fucking striker FFS and he was probably the best of the youngsters we bought but whatever. They won't listen they like to throw there shitty wins and losses stats. He is a 1 in 3 striker which isn't bad considering half the games last season he came off the fucking bench and was constantly sharing a spot with Evans and Sturridge and he was playing a lone striker spot at the age of 20 last season!. 27 Apps and 8 goals at 20 as a lone striker and you bang on he's shit? You people are fucking deluded. Thankyou Dubaimancityfan for actually taking time to realize this.

As for my comment about turning this into a RSC thread sure he was mentioned in the first post but this thread was clearly not just about him until about the 5th post in where it went from talking about who we should recall to slagging off RSC. So how about you actually UNDERSTAND what I write eh?

I didn't spin what you said. I quoted what you said, which was a million miles wide of the mark (see my post earlier in this thread). I suggest that you:

a) learn the real meaning of spin;
b) learn to admit when you're wrong

For someone as confrontational as you are with your posts, I'd suggest you get your facts right or put up with being taken to task on what you've said.

can't believe people are slating big phil. he was a massive improvement last season to the season before. if he'd had another season maybe we'd have seen even more improvement. fair do's he not pretty to look at, but in a 'goat-like' way the goals went in for him. he's a kid with massive potential and IMO sending him out on loan wasn't the best move, but selling him would be a worse move.

Boj is having a great season. Watched a profile on Parma on the Serie A show the other day and it singled him out as one of the main reasons for their surprisingly good start. He's Parma's top scorer with 4 goals from 6 starts, though he's scored a few from coming off the bench and they're currently sitting 5th in the table.

There's not doubting his technical ability and hes still only 23. I think it was the right move sending him out on loan this year to get his confidence back and his sharpness back up to scratch but I really hope we don't sell him in the summer. He's a class act and a great option in the squad.

Hes getting back to form but I wonder if he will ever get to the form people thought he was once gonna be? He was thought to be a wonder kid at one time and people were saying he was gonna be huge. Obviously near 2 years on our injury list is gonna hold that back.

Jo was absolute, undiluted shite against Liverpool.

Everton fans are more despairing of him now than we were.

Useless.
