I'm trying to work out if it was really good play from the Saints or it was just shit play from the Rags. How they hung on, I just don't know.

They were absolutely gash. Yet they won.
All too familiar. As I said, they take their chances when they come, we don't.

I don't think they could miss them. Southampton actually went out to play football and to try and win the game. They lost but did it in a manner where they can hold their heads up whereas near enough every team we play against seem to be the complete opposite. It's as if Taggart is managing every team.

Southampton had 20 shots to United's 11. They had them under the Kosh the whole second half.
But about being clinical, look back to Spurs away. Rags had one chance all game, one. And they scored it and very nearly took all 3 points. Spurs had a shitload, four - five real good chances.
Against QPR we had 4 good chances, didn't score though.

And that's the issue.

But that is not an issue we can effect. The problem here is out of our control, the only thing we can do is do our best. The team have been doing that and the results haveshown that. Unless we're being asked to progress without improving the side then I'm not sure how we can do more.

We have been evolving over the last few years, this season we stagnated. Next season I see things being different.

Well it's simple - take our chances.

I reckon you need to speak to our players about that.

You can't be a real country unless you have a beer and an airline. It helps if you have some kind of a football team, or some nuclear weapons, but at the very least you need a beer.

Although it's hugely frustrating, it's also going to be their downfall by the law of averages. No-one can have that much luck for a whole season, even with the official's assistance.

And yet they sit top of the table come feb.

Fed up hearing how shit they are. It sounds like bullshit desperation. Last game they were a one man team yet today a different man dug them out of a hole. Clearly they are a very good TEAM. shame we have been so poor (by our high standards) or else we'd be neck and neck.

Chances are that if Soton had scored again the scum would have exploded forward with a 10 man attack and scored again themselves.Probably with a referees assist.

Meant to reply to this last night but couldn't be arsed. Don't think anyone doubts that they are a very good team. There's not many people saying they are a shit team, and those that are are either blinkered, know nothing about football, or are saying it in relation to the quality of scum teams in the past. It's stating the obvious to say they are good because they are seven points clear.
The point that most are making is that they are not not dominating teams that they should be, and are constantly winning games that they should be winning comfortably by the odd goal. That's what is frustrating people. And I maintain that they are getting the rub of the green, that's what the law of averages says can't go on all season.

Last season, they were very very lucky (& helped by bent reffing) to get anywhere near us. We were miles better. This season, we have dropped a level & they have improved in attack. We are still a class above them as a team in goalkeeper defence & midfield, but they are considerably better than us in the final 3rd.

It's better to win 7 & lose one, than win 6 & draw 2. That's how they are doing it.

We still fuck up the simple pull back from the by line 9/10 times. They get it right 9/10 times.
They play to the law of averages. If you get 20 crosses into the box, chances are one will fall kindly for you.

Silva not back tracking Rooney for their second !

Can't blame Nasri for the three dropped points at Sunderland !

The only thing about that free kick is that if he had stayed perfectly still , the ball would not have been deflected and chances are Joe would have smothered it. He's not the first or last person to have screwed up in a wall for a free kick.
